Laptops Feedback on service by various laptop manufacturers

Hello,

I am looking for a low end laptop (between 22K and 30K). I saw and liked Toshba M5010, having AMD proccessor P320 (I believe?), 4 GB RAM, 320GB HDD for abiut 25K.

Now, my question is, how is the service of Toshiba, ASUS, Acer, HP, Lenovo, and HCL in India? Do they provide On site warranty like Dell does? How would you rate these brands in the order of service quality?

HP - Worst

hp has started on site warranty and i guess acer also does so in few cities...if ur looking for a low end laptop then any brand would do good. hp does not offer extended warranty,dell's warranty extension is costly ...acer provides for 4-5K afaik,msi offers 2yr warranty

Alrright, I have decided to get a Dell Inspiron M101Z with 4GB RAM, AMD K325, 320GB etc. Can someone tell me how to get discounts if ordering directly from Dell?

completely agree

Never buy HP no matter how good the product might be because u'll be doomed if you need service.
 
I am using an ACER currently, and so far I had issues only once with the lappy and it was rectified in 4 days
 
DELL After sales service is good.

Also used HP desktop ans they provided In Home service for tha dont know about laptops though.
