HD4770 has lowest power consumption among mid range cards.....And forget 3XXX series no one in their same mind would buy those when good cards are there from green camp for similar prices

Prices are exclusive of taxes. 4% tax is added while checking out in the lynx site.

These prices are exactly 4% price added to the lynx prices. That is VAT incl.

i wonder, why there wasnt considerable price drop for 4870 1GB? just some 500 bucks. While 4870 512 was dropped by around 2k+.
 
Prices will drop only on the next shipping, Distris i guess would normally try to clear out the present stock at the same price to prevent any further loss.

These are my perceptions. I could be wrong though.

Check again mano. I did a checkout until the shipping page turned up and the price quoted seems to be inclusive of the 4% VAT. ATI's dropped the prices and seems like it has already reflected at Amarbir's store.

Good news - a 2nd card's cheap for whosoever's thinking of going crossfire.

Bad news - resale value of the card goes down. :P
 
no stock of 4770!! tats one of the biggest reasons y the prices hav gone down!! ati jus doesn't want ppl to wait for 4770!! if i was one of u guys waitin for the 4770,i would hav blindly gone for the 4850~6.4k!!!
 
ATi seems to have lowered the price of the 48xx family of cards to make the 4770 the sole contender for a mid range card and to make way for the 5xxx cards.

do you think this lynx-india is reliable?? Should I order a 4850 from here or prices in nehru place for this card will also fall in a few days ??
 
lynx is reliable, and u can order w/o worry.

prices are gonna fall soon, but the shops first try to clear old stocks at old prices. SO price fall may be in due from 1 week to even more than a month.

lynx-india is more than reliable. it's currently the best online shop for india.

You can get it cheaper in Nehru Place...
and i dont know how these guys claim that it is the best online shop for india :|
 
I was asking this coz I did some google searching on lynx india and found some comments stating never to get anything from lynx India, they are fraud :(

no dude thr r gud!! thr not fraud for sure!! my frnd got a 4870x2 n 1tb hard disk from them, got it shipped to bangalore. but the only complaint about them is tat if thr is somethin wrong wit ur product,then its a big pain to rma it!! it took my frnd 1month to get his hard disk rma'd!! tats the only issue wit them!!
but they r highly recommended!!
