I am facing a weird problem with my Firefox. I was out for few days and my friends used my PC. Dunno what they have did, what they installed/updated, now I having most of the fonts in Firefox in BOLD face. It looks like this

It's really annoying to see things like this. Its not a bigger font. Ctrl+ - (minus) make the font smaller, but still they are bold only. Ctrl+0 does nothing.
See my settings. I guess these are also default only.

Tried changing the theme. Didn't worked.
FF version is v3.0.11, released June 11, 2009.
Addons installed are Greasemonkey, Xmarks, DTA, Fireshot and DataFox(for BSNL data tracking).

Any help to make this thing normal?

TIA

are u on xp ? personally havent seen the issue , but when i googled about it , there were lots of users with the same issue....and i did see some threads with some solutions to it ranging from changing some settings in windows font , to updating the "fonts" on ur pc to uninstalling and reinstalling a prior release etc.....google and check em out

Did you check font settings in FireFox?

Do this, go to : Tools > Options > Content

On the Content tab, click on Advanced button within Fonts & Colors box.

Check if any bold fonts have been selected in any of the drop-downs. Namely, Serifs, San-serifs and Monospace drop-downs.

Also, check that Fonts For: drop-down has Western selected with Default Character Encoding: set to Western (ISO-8859-1). Make sure that checkbox called Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selection above is checked/ticked.

Do report if that doesn't work out for you.

The issue been resolved.

The arial.ttf was having some problem.

when I reinstalled the font, the problem gone.

:)
