So I finally did it... Started working with 3D; although it's just SketchUp at the moment hehe... I guess the results are pretty good, thanks to VRay. We had a 4 week exhibition design project in college for which we needed to create a 3D model of the final thing. SketchUp being the easiest 3D software to learn, I started doing the design in that and came up with the following. :) Bear in mind that I've learnt the software by myself and finished 3 versions of this design in under 2 weeks due to tight deadlines, so go easy heeh...

Have a look at the design at: Exhibition Design: Reformers.. by =Deathdart on deviantART

All comments, critiques and feedback is appreciated! :D

Nice first model :) when you feel a little more comfortable, I would suggest Cinema4D as being an excellent modeling program (as well as animation) and it has a 3d paint module called BodyPaint 3D which is amazing.

Awesome!!!!i have been dabbling in 3d for past few years in 3d...though i can make excellent and detailed 3d models in Autocad....when i export it to 3D Max for rendering...i do not get the professional look!!!:( maybe i need to improve the lighting and the renderers)...by the way i am an architect!!!gr8 work!!!

^^ I have to agree, max does not have a very good renderer. In fact not to keep plugging c4d but it also has a really nice renderer too.
