I have tried it not once but many times and so has somebody informed the same and if you go to any nfs review site, they always post the most comfortable setting the one at which they get almost 50fps.
NFS U2 and MW both of them need atleast 37-38 fps, and preferably in access of 42fps for a comfortable game play.
30 is very low, 35 is low as well.
A X800XL may be able to play it at 1024*768 MAX no aa no af, maybe some af.
no way a mx 440 can play it acceptably at any settings, the opener of this thread has 1gb ram, amd 2000 and fx5700, yet he says he only gets 25fps that too on 640*480 low,fx 5700 is much better than mx440, period, if he gets 25fps on those settins then you will probably get 10-15, how can you call that smooth?
I have played the game on a 7600GT and it can hadle up to 1024*768 MAX AF, no aa, but there is stuttering on even the lowest of settings.
A 6800GT is not better so you can't go higher either. also, those are you teling their performance please tell your cpu and overclocks as well.
A 6800GT can't play todays games at 1024*768/1280*1024 MAX with aa and af: PERIOD, if you have a doubt, try the following games:
FEAR
TimeShift
Oblivion
GRAW
I am talking of max settings in FEAR including soft shadows which is difficult to handle even for a 7600GT, have you overcloced your amd 64bit 3000+.
I have played most wanted at 12X10 MAX no aa and af I think on my 6600GT, it doesn't give too good a performance, 20-25fps, I played it but it is slow, this is fact, you can playt for sure, but iti will be choppy and your gaming performance(ranking) will decrease period, this will only be realized as you increase the difficulty.
I have owned a 6600GT and know it is like to play on it. You can't even play at 1024*768 MAX no aa no af.
What you can do is to put off shadow details and reduce some other settings, this makes the game med-high, which may be ok, at med you should be fine.
AT what settings can you play GRAW?
It is slow on a 6600GT even at 800*600 lowest.
