Graphic Cards First Picture of the ATI 512MB.

This card is nothing more than a plain Radeon X850XT with more memory and we managed to count eight chips on one side while it probably has eight more on the other side of the PCB.
The regular X850 XT PE 256 MB version has eight chips four on each side. On our picture you can clearly see that four chips are place on the top side of the card horizontally.
Those chips are not covered with cooler and card has four more memory chips placed vertically placed. Three of them are covered with cooler while one of them is not covered with a massive cooler.
This gives us the feeling that you don’t need to cool any of these chips.

I believe it would be extremely expensive... AFAIK the only game which would benifit with 512 MB of GPU memory would be DOOM III but than again it is an OpenGL based game which nVIDIA is good at...

512 MB 6800Ultra is out.

It is SLi capable.That blows away any chance ATI would have had with this 512 MB card.
Also Asus has made a single card with 2 6800Ultra cores.Unfortunately it cant work in SLI as all 16 PCI Express lanes are used by the 2 cores.
