Well i have been hearing alot about it from my friends this days..they are getting 400 to 1000kBps download speed....

but what i am unable to confirm is are they getting such speeds on torrents or rapidshare stuff???

so anyone of u guys kindly confirm

i stay in mumbai.....

1 guy said he gets 1-2kBps speed or RS and 4-5 on torrents...i need some more view....

also cant the port of torrents changed in our torrent client to get the same speed as of http downloads???
 
i used 5venet for just 5 days and speeds were pathetic.. i had 256kbps plan and was getting 7-8kbps speed :P maybe i was unlucky

dude lemme clear u doubts.....

5net has a plan called USC3000 which is a 3gb plan monthly with upto 8mbps of bandwidth. u do get speeds of 400 to 1 mb which is true but then where would u use such speeds with a 3gb limit.

secondly at night, http speeds will be the same but on torrents u will get only 60k which is again 512 coz this plan is like this

USC3000 bandwidth upto 8mbps with night 11 to 8 am unlimited and sundays free......

now since dude u said u living in mumbai and if u in sough-mumbai then 5net is not for u coz its beeing run by a thug, a chor by the name of bhushan who runs a sub-standard service which goes by the name of igate networks and HAS LOTS OF DOWNTIMES WHICH IS ALSO FOR 5NET

I AM SAYING SO COZ I WAS ON IGATE FROM THE YEAR 2001 AND HAVE LEFT THEM JUS IN FEB COZ I WAS ALSO SICK AND TIRED OF 5NETS DOWNTIMES AND IGATES DOWNTIMES AND THE WORSE THING OF ALL, THEY LIE A LOT WHEN U CALL ASKING WHY THE NETS DOWN

so b4 u do make a decision about this service think twice or best fo luck.......

i shall also tell u that i had their connection for igate and 5net directly without any cable operators and still it was sub-standard.

i am currently using airtel and i am happy coz in the past 3 months since i have left i have seen only 8 minutes fo downtimes which is quite neglectable and theydont lie to u if it is down like my ex-isp....
 
hmm thanks for the reply basically i m not from south bombay..but i guess aditya is...and nowhere he mentioned he gettin such speeds on torrents ,rs.....so already game over for me....

in other places i asked its provided by local small cable operater...also they do face downtime and all such stuffs..also sometimes in day pages take ages to on.....

frm past 3 years on hathway...and now will complete 6 months prepaid 512kbps night unlimit p-lan..will extend it further 3 months...and hope mtnl do some trick and my opearter improve further
 
dude,

u dont have to wait for a trick form mtnl.....herez what u can do instead........see i have an airtel connection but its wifi and gives me downtimes so jus to avoid downtimes i have bought myself mtnl triband service, now herez the trick, book it with iptv, the catch is that in the night unlimited plan, instead of getting 256k, u will get 2 mbps....there u have it....
 
Hey..

Ive gotten upto 750kBps speeds only on HTTP. Get upto 6mbps from 11am to 9pm. Only on HTTP. :(.

Torrents, my speed has never gone above 32kBps. The connection is not 1:1. Its 256/64.. But on multistream isn't blocked, so I get 32kBps upload on torrents. Lol.

I requested a faster Upload speed for any fee, but they said its not possible.

Downtimes are like 1-2 times in a week, for like 30 mins max.

Its great of DDL's. Decent for Torrents.
