Graphic Cards fixing ur dead graphics card by putting them in oven

NEVER put in a microwave oven.

It will damage the card, the oven and you!

What this does is repair microfractures that can happen in PCB's over a period of time.

Heating just enough, is sufficient to melt the solder very slightly so that it can repair such fractures.

BTW - My card works fine when I use normal applications, but 3D Mark or OCCT or games dont run fully, they result in artifacts on the screen and the rig hangs up. So RMAing the card anyway.

Micro fractures may get corrected by the molten solder, but all electrolytic capacitors are bound to get damaged.

Nice Trick mate worth a risk any way it is a better option to try.... i suppose.
great..and brilliant:ohyeah: :hap2:

nope it is a new properties of micro waves.

microwave will kill the card n will make sure nuthin can repair it...

the trick is to be experimented in a traditional oven :)

perfectly right, u can use a form of shielding to cover the caps, if u plan to heat for than 5 minutes. But a short burst of heat barely enough to melt solder a bit will not damage the caps that much, they can hold out for a minute or two at 250 degrees.

you need to make sure that the plastic parts are well protected from the heat, as at 250 degrees they can melt/ partially burn/ shape deform. so for mobo - this is a no-go.
