Dear Fellas,

I wish to grab 4 gb microSD and 8gb Flash pen drive.

Would like switch in between my BB curve, Sansa+ and a great companion -Clarion DXZ car stereo. Taking microSD HC makes a sense? If yes then it would be compatible into BB curve & Sansa card slot. I'm targeting speed and functional reliability in card and flash drive. Pl suggest.

Would suggest that you buy for each of you devices a differant card. ATM, cost of 8GB is ~ 350 bucks max, class 4 cards. Also, for your car stereo, if you have USB support, connect the Sansa as a USB drive option.

In my BB Curve, there is San disk micro SD. Can I opt micro SD HC version? which brand/model?

Flash drive: I wish to buy Speedy, reliable and VFM? which brand/model?

^Yes you can opt. For better speeds, go for class 10 cards. As far as pen drives as considered nothing beats Corsair. go for Voyager GT 3.0 if you can or simply Voyager will do. I just got one a few days back

thanks Vivek/Jugga..

SD card Class 10 is makes sense for my Blackberry Curve 8520?....or Class 4 is just sufficient...

Voyager GT 3.0 starts from 16gb...

Where can I get Voyager 8gb? price?....

Class 4/6 ought to be enough. If you want speeds, then only go for class 10. As for the drive, go for a Transcend/Sandisk one, cheap and enough for your need of listening to music

Class 10 will benefit you in transfer of data from-to PC, not in intra-phone tasks.

If you're price concerned go blindly with this HP-210w. I bought 4 of them yesterday, and they are giving fair enough speeds of 8-9 MB/s Vs 12 MB/s by Corsair. So IMO go with HP. Its good in design also.

Don't go for SANDISK, they give worst speeds. Same with Transcend, a bit better though but still very bad.

Stick to a higher capacity. Its useful for many other things too, like for example installing Windows off a pen drive.

Ohh... Okk... 248 is pretty standard for a 4GB Class 4. But every now and then some offers creep up online. I had purchased a 4GB Class 4 card for 199 from some site a few months back.

@Neo-N:- ....4GB sd card in 199!...great deal IMO. can i have link. Also whats cost of Verbatim pen drive u talked earlier?

@JuGGa:-... HP-210w pen drive. can i have link pl.

I said that it was a few (1-2) months ago. But new deals keep cropping up. Keep a check on the Hot Deals section.

zeroed on card-Verbatim 8gb. class4.

Wavering in pen drive: HP or Verbatim or Sony. In our company, employee have privileged option to buy online. There are several models of sandisk, kingston, HP, PNY & Sony.

Which is better?HP, PNY & Sony? (I put aside sandisk & kingston now). I want speedy & reliable gear. HP 210w suggested by JuGGa is also available.

Do not opt for the Sony sliding model. It is one of the worst sliding pendrives I have ever seen. The sliding mechanism broke in about 3 months!

If HP, PNY and Sony are the only brands you want to consider, go for HP. I personally prefer Sandisk, Transcend and Kingston for pendrives. Considering that you'll only be using the drive for the car stereo, why are you so concerned about minor speed differences? Go for the Sandisk Cruzer Blade. Cheapest drive out there and carries a 5 year warranty. I am using one currently.
