Storage Solutions Flash Drive

^^^^ depends on the portability requirements,

I can never carry a portable hard drive in my office, even I'm not allowed to take any electronic item inside, but can manage to take a pen drive, all because of it's size.

the buffalo 4GB ones are available in mumbai with Hallmark systems for Rs.1725 each. 8GB ones are not yet available. They are expected soon. :)

Today I purchased buffalo 4 gb pendrive from lamington road for Rs.1600/- Couple of days I purchased kingston 2 gb for 800/- I didn't run any benchmarks but on my pc Kingston avg write speed is 3.5 MBps and buffalo is 7-8 MBps. Buffalo looks very good as well while kingston looks little filmsy. Take transcend only if you are getting 2A series or 110 series, Excellent write speeds, I have a 1gb model of 2A series. It writes in excess of 16 MBps on my PC. Transcend V series is value series and write speeds are pathetic. Avoid it.:hap2:

4GB Buffalo only 8MBps write speed? :S :S :S thats slow!
Tell me something that is available in market and is faster.
BTW this is not any benchmark speed, This is the speed I got while copying files using xplorer2 dual pane file file browser. It shows the copying speed while transferring files. copies one 700 MB movie file in about one minute.

Then isn't it 11.66 MBps? ;)

Got a 2gb Sandisk Cruzer today for 850 bucks. Pretty decent transfer rates i should say :) couldn't get the buffalo, so had to settle for this.

Transferred about 420 mb in 50 sec. So about 8.4mbps
