How about people coming together to celebrate life ?

That sounds like a cliche but I dont care about the reason . They did what they did and I appreciate that because it happened in a proper way.

One can say that they showed that the spirit cant be broken but I dont think that way.
 
What spirit?? I know you are not saying that, but the one who will say this doesnt know much about Mumbai.

Even when the Commandos and all Mumbai Police were busy in killing those terrorist in Taj, we Mumbaikars were already out in Local trains busy with our work without any fear of those terrorist. If we fear then we cant live in city like Mumbai, coz anything can happen anywhere. We live on our toes while travelling here. Well thats spirit. There was no need of a mob dance to show the spirit. We already have it, infact each of us has it, dont you?? Yes you do. But do you feel like dancing in public place to show this?? No you wont unless and until you want to catch attention of media....

Everybody has poured their thoughts on the topic, there is no need to repeat it over and over again.

This is already very old news as far as social networking news is concerned, let this thread die.

Why does your way of showing spirit be same as others ?

Do you and they wear the same clothes ?

What they did needed some guts and that was a gutsy display . Everybody has there own way of showing emotions.

And let me tell you one thing , Not everyone can start the dance from absolutely nothing and do a half decent performance.

You are absolutely right that the way of showing spirit or emotions can differ.

If you know this then why cant you understand that way of thinking also differs from person to person?? You think mob performance was good, I think it was a lame act.. Thats it , end of story, then why do you have to say that some people think they are smart ??

And whatever it wasnt gutsy at all, dancing by taking permission in public area is gutsy?? And that too with 200 people?? No way... :) Sorry but thats my thinking... Yours may differ...

Also, on your last point, well the dance was perfectly choreographed :) No one just came in and danced.

People would have highly appreciated if they slowly joined a formation /pattern with candles in their hands - just for an example.
Flash mob is not only about dancing like their nuts went loose. There can be other forms of expression in a flash mob.

As for spirit of Mumbai, almost everyday when Churchgate bound fast trains arrives at Andheri station, there will be an announcement: Trains are running late /cancelled. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to commuters. No one cares a hoot and move along. That (or similar) is called spirit of Mumbai by locals here around a rly. stn.
 
Seriously. I mean, flash mob and terrorism, I don't know how you even got that.

Bunch of people decided to do a flash mob. So what! Forget it and move on.
