Flashbangs in Counter-Strike Condition Zero

Hi,
I'm just a casual gamer. I've just started playing CS CZ at difficulty = hard. Everytime I use a flashbang, it seems to fail : there's just a puff of black smoke and a muffled thud. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something ? Help.

When you throw a FB, it blinds people only in the vicinity not everybody far away like smoke grenades.

Your doing everything right and people near the grenade will be blinded for a good 5 secs.
 
he is talking bout the flashbang switch. when u throw there is a smoke puff for about 1 sec when it explodes. i think what he means is he is not getting flashed. what gfx card are u using. it was an old driver issue.
 
He may not be looking at the flash :/

Or his PC may be lagging with the bots there. So it may be gettin lost :p...
 
Uhhhhh ... no, the flashbangs work sometimes. I know what they are. Very often they turn out to be duds !
I did not face this prob with difficulty = easy or normal.

I'm stuck at the map Militia where one of the challenges is "kill a flashbanged enemy and survive the round". It's been like five days since I started Militia.
