But a shopping platform charging Platform fee is kinda dumb, Who did they learn from Zomato/Swiggy.

Ya this concept of platform fees is spreading like cancer. At this point Zomato charges Rs10 for platform fees.

Platform fees only makes sense when they are not keeping any margin for themselves from the product. It's like going to a shop to buy something and seller says sir you have to pay 10rs extra coz I had to keep it in store for you.

They've been doing this for a while now. They've been charging ₹49 as secure packaging fee for electronics for over a year. Platform fee is also being charged and varies by product. I've been charged 9-10 rupees for some products.

The funniest is the offer handling fee. We're giving a discount of ₹500, but we need to charge ₹49 for that. Lol..

They were sneaky with it. Initially, they rolled out the amount under a "festive rush" clause. Now they've made INR 10 the standard amount. Very unethical.
