Flipkart : Nexus 7 2012 for 9K

So my tab did turn on after 2 hours on charge. Took almost 6 hours to rich 100%. Cancelled the rma request. Ordered gadgetshieldz protector.
The screen blinking was what led me to believe it may just be slow charging and not a dead tab.
Don't bother connecting to other chargers etc. since firstly that can be grounds for voiding the warranty and second it's a new product and is supposed to charge when plugged in and that is covered by the warranty.
This is absurd. You're saying if you go to a friend's house and use his charger for your phone or tablet, the warranty will void? This is a tech site, we're supposed to try all sorts of crap before calling cc right? :-p

although from the user's perspective, its fine to check a device's well-being using a few jugaad methods if the usual ones fail to gather a response, but from the point of view of flipkart, it may carry some (sort of) significance (even if/though it may not lead to or translate to as grim a situation as voiding the device's warranty), because the 1st question that i was asked by the flipkart rep. when i had written to them about the issue with my device was - had you connected the tab to some charger other than the bundled one?! a parrot-question most probably, but still one of the preliminary checks carried out by the customer-care executives.

EDIT: and about being asked to not to bother trying some other method - since there's a replacement-policy in place and a very good service to back it up, one could simply report an issue if something seems to be amiss, and it would be well taken care of, instead of bothering oneself with troubleshooting with this and that. ;)

They can ask but they will never know...
And it's a really stupid Q to ask too, everyone knows usb chargers are universal, just need to match the output As to the devices requirement.

yes, they would not come to know. and indeed, a hollow parrot-question. but in any case, if the device is not working with the supplied accessories or with the usual methods, but using some other trick, then in that case the device itself or its accessories anyway warrant a replacement.

Of course an RMA would be needed, what I was talking about was figuring out if it was the tab or the charger that's faulty. No sense in replacing a tab just for the charger. Or does flipkart require that the entire box be sent back even if it's just the charger that's dead? In that case moot topic...

yes, that's a point! although there have been problems reported about nexus 7s that didn't power up, but don't know what's flipkart's policy about a faulty accessory.
@hotshot05 had an issue with his device's charger/charger-cable. could tell more about he finally dealt with it.
also, @raksrules' colleague had once faced a problem with his device and its charger. he may also be able to tell what his colleague was asked to do then.

Did nothing about it as I was unsure about whom to contact. Since it is working fine, did not do anything. The tab is mostly used by my mother and so had totally forgotten about it.
Will contact Flipkart today or tomorrow.

Yep, Flipkart just replaces the entire product even if it's just a cable /charger that's bad.

Did anyone who purchased using SBI credit card got the discount back into their account?

These guys are pretty lazy in giving the cash back, be it a private or government bank.

Icici cashback that was expected in november, I got it a few days ago in Jan...
