I stumbled upon that review around 12am midnight, ran around my whole house laughing. like an idiot. but it was worth it.

Yes, he has written his heart out :p Might be one of TouchWiz's coders
Or a disgruntled S4 exynos owner. I hear s4 still heats up over 3g. So many stability updates over its life.

The note 3 does not have the same heating problems as the S4 did. It has a different exnos chip. Chances are the S5 won't either.

Otherwise he's putting in blunt terms what others more or less agree with. exynos ie no support, knox blah, gimmicky apps, less than compete support by games developers unlike snapdragon.

ha ha... Samsung's Exynos testing on the "selected markets" will continue till they make it right.

In an ideal world one should not need to look beyond Samsung for an android phone.

user replaceable battery, micro-sd, easily repairable for relatively less compared to other brands.

Those right there are significant operational advantages.

But they had to go and mess it up. Push you away and MAKE you look at other brands :(

Another aspect here is this years flagship are not going to wow people to the same extent as the ones that came out last year.

S4, Note 2, Z, One, optimus G , nokia's Lumias. Every one had some unique USP about them that made them attractive on their own

User replaceable battery...
Who gives a damn about replaceable battery now days, have not seen single person who has single original spare battery to replace drain one, not seen single person whose battery has died suddenly..

Micro SD slot...
Now days if you look closely in 4.4 update Google has disable to move application from internal memory to SD card though few vendor does support it still..
New one has micro SD slot...

Easily repairable..
Not anymore S5 has got 5/10 for repair compare to 8/10 for S4 from ifixit.. Though still good score compare to HTC one..

I would NOT agree on Micro SD slot. You can put movies, music and Pics on SD card which can be quite useful.

A phone with 16 gb internal + 64 card is far less than a phone with 64gb Internal.

Yes 10k bucks are a lot of money.

He is a friend of mine and he uses an s3. Was a Samsung fanboy at first, and was about to purchase the s4, but after using it for a few hours, he started bashing and abusing the phone. Lol. Then the s5 was released. And as you can see from his 'Shamedung' review on flipkart, you can easily guess that his fanboyism with Samsung was over :D

The s4 has a very attractive form factor, the problem is we don't get the snapdragon version in India. I really wanted to get it but decided to wait and see how things went for a few months etc. And then the issues came out yet i've found reviewers abroad who specifically ordered the exynos version as it was more powerful.

When i look back to last year's flagships nearly all were attractive...m7, s4, note 2, lumias, g2, Z etc. Very competitive, unique designs & difficult to choose between. 5 inches gets into its own and shows its superiority over smaller screens. Ironically iphone was boring, same old same old, little faster processor, little better camera, people were looking to switch.

This year it's hard to be wowed by any offerings, they are all improvements over last year but that same buzz just isn't quite there. This will have an effect on sales as people won't be as pressured to buy. if you bought a flagship last year you're still good for another year.

on "How to Avoid Huge Ships": http://www.amazon.com/Avoid-Huge-Ships-John-Trimmer/dp/0870334336

One Amazon reviewer panned a real-life copycat publication called "A Million Random Digits THE SEQUEL: with Perfectly Uniform Distribution." "Let's be honest, 4735942 is just a rehashed version of 64004382, and 32563233 is really nothing more than 97132654 with an accent."

"We are always amazed by the creativity of our customers," said an Amazon spokeswoman.

"Saved My Life and My Sanity," praised a 2012 reviewer. "For about 8 months now I have noticed that a huge ship has been stalking me…I was fearful because my parents were killed by a big ship when they went out one day 4 years ago to walk the dog, and I have nightmares about it to this day."

Not really a troll review :)

Charges like a Bull in Heat & weighs like one
After years of cradling one rusty Nokia after the other, I got my first smartphone - an entry level Samsung Galaxy, three years back. Now I clearly remember the instructions on my first Nokia - open the box, charge it for 8 hours, and then throw the charger. I don't think the damn piece of plastic ever ran out of charge over the course of the next 4 years that I had it.

Apparently Smart Phones are way too smart for trivialities like that. The first Samsung had a rather nasty habit of spending roughly 30% of it's total charge in showing me some pointless boot animations when I turned it on. And I could use it for roughly 25 minutes, after which it's super smart "low battery" alert would get to such intensity that it would kill itself out of charge just warning me to get it charged. So technically I went from a perfectly functioning brick that lived in my pocket but couldn't do much to one that could, but never did because it was never alive.

But hey, once you get into the grip of smartness you don't get to go out. That 25 minutes of high charge pleasure is just too addictive to let go. So 2 years down, and I had my latest galaxy with advanced graphicy capabilities, display and processor. My life for the past year has roughly consisted of charging the phone when I hit the bed, turning it on when I woke up, checking my email and social feeds, getting to work, charging my phone, answering calls from clients, the laundry guy and my mom, and frantically searching for a charger to breathe life into my dying device by 4pm. Every. Single. Day.

I tried everything. I bought myself enough chargers to have a micro usb sticking it's tongue out at me from whichever direction I see. I carried a cable in my bag, permanently connected to my laptop. I --enforced-- requested my team to bring a charger along, just in case. Nothing. A dead phone and a permanent beep of low battery. I began to wish I could just harness all the bio energy in my body to give life to my phone.

Oh, and did I tell you? The thing starts crying the moment it hits 14%. FOURTEEN PERCENT. Fourteen percent would've been enough on my Nokia to blast me through space, call Nasa from Mars and jump right back, playing Snake all the way down. Not on this one - when gramma Samsung hits 14% that's her way of saying her bye-byes and writing out her will.

So I got this power bank. It was a brave decision, given I'd all but given up on the whole charge thing. But I got it nevertheless. Here's the kicker - first, this little power bank can swell up with so much charge I'm sure I can run a small city for a month with it when she's up 100%. So I leave her by the wall, charging, soaking up all the power in the world.

Second, she's portable. So Samsung dear can be the glutton she is, binging on charge, even when there isn't a single wall and socket in sight.

The only kick-in-the-shin is the weight. I was talking on the phone yesterday (as usual, charge down to 10%) and got the bank connected to it to keep the life juices flowing. In about 2 minutes I noticed my feet were leaving visible prints, depressing the concrete floor below. My neck kind of turned over to one side and I'm pretty sure when I walked near the beach the power bank's weight interfered with the Moon's gravity, messing up the tides.

This power bank is heavy. But so was Iron Man's first suit. It's good, it charges and it's generally awesome. Now go ahead and get it before your phone dies.

How Moto G Grip Cover changed my life
Hi. I had recently brought the Moto G grip cover from flipkart. What was a simple online purchase changed into one of the most profound and life changing experiences of my life. Just as Bilbo Baggins embarked on an adventure of a lifetime, this small purchase brought numerous challenges, friendships and experiences to my life.

The moment the package from Flipkart arrived I was filled with anticipation, doubt and even a deep sense of remorse. Should I have brought this cover online? Would it not have been easier to just walk into a store and see first hand and then make a decision? All these questions were churning away at my soul. Eating it bit by bit, burning into my heart and questioning my mere existence.

Slowly but surely I opened the package and peeped inside. Absolutely mint and pristine, the cover lay packed in the original motorola pack. Whew! The pack looked original. I was glad I was not duped. But I still carried apprehensions. I gently opened the cover to see the grip cover gently snuggling inside, like a new born baby. Dark, silent and well protected. Should I take it out? Should I bring the case into this cruel, bad world. It looked so beautiful and angelic.

But fate and destiny cannot be avoided. So I carefully unpacked it and took out the cover. OH! THE FEELING! OH THE TOUCH! Like a baby's smooth, soft buttocks the matte of the cover sat comfortably in my palm. I could hear the angels in heaven singing their heavenly choruses, II could hear the pages of history being written about this very moment. Time stopped. Life stopped. The universe stopped. THIS was the moment of reckoning. I stood in awe taking in the feeling. Like a new father admiring his babe.

BUT with every birth comes death, the cycle must be completed. And once again I was filled with anguish, hurt and sorrow. The old cover had to be discarded. I felt as if I was killing a child. I took the phone in my hand. Looked at the old cover. It was still new. With a broken heart I slowly started removing the cover. Crack! The first snap lock came loose. Crack, crack, crack. As the cover open the sound of the crack was as deafening as a thousand volcanoes erupting in anger. Weeping I removed the cover. Sobbing I wrapped the old cover in a soft cloth and put it in the safe.

There was not a minute to mourn. The phone was exposed and I had to close it soon. The dust hounds were already on their way to infiltrate the innards. Quickly I took the new Motorola Grip Cover for Moto G and tried to put it on. Little did I realize that this would prove to be biggest challenge. Click, click, like clockwork precision the new cover snapped on but the rubber protection simply was refusing to get on [No pun intended]. Time was running out and so was my patience. All the doubts started coming back. Would it fit, did I buy the correct size. Oh the process of refund! And then it stuck me. Like the skies tearing apart to let the rains fall. It dawned on me. This was a rite of passage for the Grip Cover.

It had to be put to test, it had to walk through the fire to be purged and take its rightful position. So I did what had to be done. I twisted and turned and pushed and prodded and all the hard work paid off. With one final rubbery snap the process was completed. The grip cover was finally a man. I took a step back and looked at it from a distance. It was sheer poetry. Such a perfect fit. Like they were meant to be together.

A tear fell from my eyes. A feeling of accomplishment, a sense of pride and a feeling of finality. The adventure had come to an end. Two souls merged as one. Life has to go on.

And this is the lesson I learnt, a lesson which I will carry in my heart forever. And you should too.

TL;DR - Moto G Grip, good fit. Little difficult to put on. Looks great. Definite VFM.

Nothing beats the troll reviews of those senheiser headphones. Seriously, everyone near my seat was looking at me in the office :P
