Toshiba Satellite Laptop
  • Price: INR 2200/-
  • Specs: i3 M350 + 3GB ram + Wifi
  • Issues
    • Display is broken (see screenshot)
    • Some keys don't get registered
    • No battery life
    • Dirty
  • Not tested: CD drive
  • Can be used when connected to a secondary display. Touchpad and buttons work fine. So does the speaker.
  • Hard disk won't be included
Lenovo ThinkPad T430
  • Price: INR 1500/-
  • Issue: Laptop is dead, most likely because of faulty motherboard. I tried getting it repaired a couple of years back, but I went to the wrong shop because the guy mishandled the laptop, failed to repair it, and didn't know how to open it properly too. Therefore, the body is not in a terrific condition either.
  • Several parts can possibly be used in a separate set up including
    • Both modules of Ram (Probably 2GB each)
    • Wifi card
    • Display
    • The keyboard is bent, but is probably salvageable
  • Hard disk won't be included
  • I take no responsibility for the functioning of any of the aforementioned laptop parts, so this is completely a buyer's risk
i7 930 + 3x2GB Mushkin Redline Ram + 2GB Corsair Ram + MSI X58 Pro E motherboard + Asus P5G41C-M motherboard
  • Price: INR 1500/-
  • Issue:
    • The combination of i7 + rams + MSI X58 was working fine when I upgraded my system in 2018. Recently, I tried testing the setup again, but it won't post. As I have no way to test with different parts, I have no idea what component failed. Although the CPU did get warm, and I could see lights on the motherboard
    • I have no way to test the Asus motherboard, so consider this faulty
  • I take no responsibility for the functioning of any of the aforementioned computer components, so this is completely a buyer's risk
