Vettel and Webber are too far down to win the race.. Kimi has a chance.. Rubens will mess up as usual..If only Fisi can get a clean start and create some gap between the pack, he'll have a realistic change to secure a win..

I just hope external factors do not rob Fisi of his podium atleast.. also mechanical problems, pitstop blunders, engine blowout..

McLaren engines have been doing a lot better than they used to be 2 or 3 years back and since Force India uses McLaren engines, chances of an engine blowout is low.

Lets not jinx the guy by mentioning such stuff. Also lets pray that Steve Slater doesn't put a Commentator's Curse on Fisi because at times when he praises a driver the driver lands up as a D.N.F.

well, apparently ferrari were to get rid of kimi and replace him with alonso instead. but now since massa is not in any condition to race, they dont know if he will be in a state to race next year either. i guess that has put ferrari in a dilemma as they probably dont know which driver they will replace with alonso.

alonso has said that he is actively talking with other teams. in the mean time, kimi, who is known to not very vocal has said that as far as he knows, he has a contract with ferrari and if they were to dump him, there are other teams interested in him. having said that, like prabs said, kimi is doing a great job at the moment.

as far as the 3 cars per team formula goes, it debatable. on one hand, teams want to cut costs. this doesnt help. also, it's easier for teams like ferrari and mclaren (who support ferrari's 3 car theory) to pump in the money, but what about budget teams like FI and brawn?

Awesome race :D

Brilliant Drive By Kimi, and an even more awesome one by Fisi :D - I guess he has ensured a lifetime worth of KF beer with this result.

Hamilton, Alonso

Haha good one.

I missed the race but really happy with the results :hap2:

Fisi drove superbly, never ceasing the pressure on Kimi.. This is an awesome day for Force India and all the F1 fans in India.

Really good race by Kimi and Fisichella. It was fun to watch Fisichella harassing Kimi towards the end of the race - Something that no one would have thought of

The Barrichello episode was a lil' frightening though - Not sure how many saw him enter the pits after the race - There was fire on the side where the oil leak was.

Best Result of this season for me. Was rooting for a good result for Force India and Kimi.

I am glad Force India came through this time because in the past either they screwed up or got screwed somehow. Till a week back they didn't have a single point but now they have got a pole position and a podium finish in the bag.

It was really nice to see Kimi smile for once. Fantastic start and great driving. Please give some tips to Luca if he is still racing (sorry testing if it runs) for Ferrari in the next race.

Fisi in the interview said he deserved to win because he had a faster car than Kimi, wonder what Vettel should have said. Also, Kimi might have overtaken Fisi in the first lap itself if Rubens didn't have a sloppy start. Plus I have seen a lot of drivers pull this trick in the safety car's in lap they slow down extremely for the last corner and just rocket off, Fisi should have used this trick.

Force India must really think of Kimi as their worst nightmare don't they?

Good drive by Barichello as well glad he could hold on.

Force India must have been thanking that Kimi overtook Fisi early in the race. Else he would have most likely done what he always has been doing to FI cars in point-scoring positions in the past.... a small nudge and race over for FI.. :P :P

great result for fisi and FI. a comfortable 2nd position. also managed to keep the pressure on kimi. however, fisi claiming that he deserved the win having a faster car is not right. keeping pace or catching up with a car is easy when you have a fast car, but overtaking is completely different. if he was so much faster, why did he not overtake him? he couldnt even create a single overtaking chance.

having said that, again, great result for fisi and the team, but fisi should take it in the right spirit.

An amazing result for FI and for Formula1 in India. The interest will just get bigger and bigger. Did anyone hear about the IOA and letting the F1 deal pass and now Kalmadi's sons company gettings the deal?

Yea, what does he know...he obviously doesn't have as much f1-2008 by EA sports exposure as you do...

I don't get it. Wasn't F1 2008 a mod on F1 Challenge 99-02?

well fisi had 44 laps to overtake kimi. he clearly didn't deserve 1st place, but like i said, an amazing drive by fisi and a great performance by the whole team.

is fisi trying to say that kimi didnt deserve the win? if fisi was faster, why didnt he even try one overtaking maneuver? there can only be one deserving winner, and in this case, it was kimi.

maybe its you who gets your f1 exposure from video games. try posting something constructive rather than taking a dig at others.

FASTEST LAP CLASSIFICATION

15 L. Badoer Ferrari 1:49.803

16 J. Trulli Toyota 1:50.029

EDIT: i think, prabs just phrased it incorrectly. what fisi really said was that he is sad that he could win inspite of having a faster car.

apart from the drastic changes that FI has introduced during the course of this season including the new aero package in valencia, what really seems to have worked for FI is that spa was the first medium down-force circuit of the season. i guess that really worked for them.
