LOS ANGELES — After years of anticipation, the long-awaited PC version of GTA V could soon be cancelled, according to a Rockstar employee.
Brad works as a Marketing director for Rockstar North and is also the founder of his own marketing firm called “Rantic“, which was created following the historic launch of GTA V.
On Rantic’s official website, Brad expresses concern about the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V being cancelled.

It wont be,just been delayed for PC and next gen consoles till Q1 2015 . They are working on other projects aswell .

Recent news update from Rockstar states that the game has not been delayed to 2015:

Following a rumour earlier this week that GTA 5 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC has been delayed to 2015. Rockstar has reiterated that the game’s fall 2014 release date has not been changed.

Despite having not announced a date beyond “fall 2014,” the developer was asked by a fan on the support page to comment on the rumour. Rockstar later replied saying that the announced release date has not been changed and referred him to the support article.

GTA 5 - PC release delayed to March 24th...

Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released on PC later in March, Rockstar has announced along with the news Online Heists will launch in “the coming weeks”.

Just last week, the developer said the PC release was still on track for a January 27 release, but announced a delay today.

“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” reads the statement. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans.

“Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”

GTA Online for PC will support up to 30 players, and will include Online Heists, and the mode for consoles will be launching “in the coming weeks ahead of the PC launch.”

Can anybody explain how only the PC version gets delayed for so long?
It is not about the bugs but so that they can sell as many PS4/XBOX One copies as possible before people start pirating the PC version. Typical for Rockstar, but this time they've stretched the limits.

Because the PC version sells way lesser than the console versions. Also, if they release the PC version along with the console version there are quite a few people who would pirate it and not bother buying the console version.

BTW the download size is going to be 65GB apparently!

Install size is 65GB. Download size may be less if they use compression and unpacking after download. The retail version might be not be Steam redeemable however.

Well, the downloadable version of GTA 5 for the PS4 weighs in at around 50GB.

Or what i believe is that Rockstar does not want to repeat the mistakes done by Ubisoft . We all know about Assassins creed/Watch dogs fiasco . And Rockstar have already been through a lot of criticism for PC port of GTA IV. Sales dont matter to them as they already earned the moolah .
