HPMV virus outbreak in China.

6pack

Mastermind

If this is real are we looking at another worldwide outbreak? Another lockdown 2.0? Maybe we should start buying a few packs of masks and sanitizers before the price hikes up.

So at best it will cause "bronchitis or pneumonia". Not enough to cause a lockdown.
This is exactly what they said about COVID too. For the healthy, it may not mean much. For vulnerable populations like children and older folks with comorbidities, it could lead to more serious complications.
Two people I know have recently fallen very ill with flu-like symptoms. It's been over 10 days and their cough has not gone away and they still experience weakness. Could just be the common-flu, but who can say?

people cough and sneeze here without closing their mouth with their hand. Very low hygiene consciousness in India. Send one infected child to school because he has mild symptoms and the entire classroom gets infected. Children pass their virus to parents who go to work on overcrowded buses and trains and help spread the disease even more. Pretty soon hundreds to thousands will have coughs and high fever for days. Imagine the state of hospitals and clinics. There's a lot of Indian businessmen and their families going to china on business trips and coming back here. I'm sure none of them will isolate for a week or two in India even if they were infected with a mild strain of the virus.
Cambodia issues health alert on hMPV outbreak in China, similar to flu, Covid-19

yes, related. it basically says that evidence has been found that mumbai has been witnessing a marked rise in hpmv cases because of the micro-organisms in pigeon-droppings, and that 60-65% of people who're suffering from lung-diseases have also been found to be having hypersensitive pneumonia. hence citizens are advised & warned not to feed pigeons in the open. all should note that anyone found doing so would be penalised.

No. I don't know marathi but I got similar warnings regarding pigeons for a long time. Like last year beginning. Like this

yeah, there had been a really unfortunate casualty due to this in our society some years back.
