dude, even i experienced the same problem 6 months back in my brother's pc. The config is zotac 9600gt, m2n vm HDMI, 2x2gb ddr2 tnd, x2 5000+, HUNTKEY 450w V-POWER

I raised this issue in TE too for which i was answered that the culprit is the power supply. But i was very doubtful with the gfx card since i installed amd dc optmizer and the proccy driver so I replaced that with the zotac 96gt synergy edition but it was even worse. Then replaced zotac with xpertivison 9800gt and it is fine in Crysis and TRU since these are the games where i expereinced much random lag issues.

After that the black site: area 51 game is released. Then i began to experience the same problem. I installed AMD dual core optimizer and the latest processor driver. After that no issues.

So try installing AMD dual core optimizer and the latest processor driver. These cud solve the issue. If its not then surely ur gfx card must be the culprit. U wont find ne diff. by disabling cool and quiet..

Its surely nt d gfx probs ,since i personally checkd it on my rig.it works like charm.
Will try d amd dc optimized drivers wid proccy drivers and report it.

@anfjavid

i installed AMD dual core optimizer and the latest processor driver as advised but still same problem continues only that it has been reduced to some extent.

still games r not at all playable man.

i also checked my 9600 gfx card on his machine -- no use still .

plz help .

IMO there are some issues with the x2 architechture i think. In my case i had a better mobo (m2n vm hdmi) but a cheap proccy (5000+).

In your case u have a better proccy but a cheap mobo. This issue might be due to the imbalance between the mobo and the proccy too.

IMO BIOS update will not at all bring any fruit. So thats a waste. Anyway for your satisfaction try updating the bios and install the latest chipset drivers.

Try changing the sata port and see if thers any diff.

as per xxESvenomxx|SoM advice check your proccy with a good mobo. If it works fine, then throw that damn mobo and go for a ASUS m3n78em or any midlevel mobo like m2n vm hdmi (or) dvi

its is one of the solutions which worked for my friend hope it works for u, also chk asus fourms man ppl are facing similar issues its the mobo issue coz it cant handle the processor
no mate. you are wrong. If the mobo isnt capable of running the proccessor, then what in my case..

M having a x2 5000 and m2n vm hdmi. This is an advanced board and here the proccy only is low. So why am i getting random lag issues in my config also sometimes ??
