FreeRAM is a program that frees up ram manually or automatically. It shows current memory status , memory load and CPU usage graphically. Best of all, it is completely free.

It can be enabled/disabled directly from tray icon popup
Defaults button in options
Number of retries can be set up in options
Sound when freeing ram
Amount of free ram can be displayed in the system tray

I tried it but it created a lot of problems with the RAM...a bit afraid to do anything with hardware
