hi

i am selling all this :
GVC 33.6KBPS external modem ( serial/parallel port ) used for 3 years selling at rs.500
RadioShack Infared wireless scroll ball mouse used for 1 year selling at rs.700
2 256mb DDR333 memory modules ( brand : TA and warranty period over ) selling each at 1350 and combined : 2500
one old 80mm fan at 60 bucks
Gainward Geforce 4 mx 440 64 bit 64mb card ( used for 1 year ) at rs.2000
Arctic cooler for pentium 4 socket 478 Northwood ( fan not working :huh: but i think some of the experienced guys ( like Deejay , funkymonkey etc. can set it alright if they buy ) at rs.1400 ( bought for 25$ brand new )
iBox 300W PSU ( one year old ) at rs.300
VIP 300W PSU ( better and reliable ) at rs.600 ( bought from SunMysore a couple of weeks back ) .

I know i am quite a newbie here . but i can assure you that the stuff will be delivered if when paid on time :)

going by the lack of response , I can maybe reduce the prices ..
 
No offence intended but are u sure that the TA ram is good?Don't want to spoil any one's sale but all TA ram that I or my friends got has failed memtest86+.
 
well , i havent tried testing the ram using memtest86+ . to be really honest , this RAM is not good for gaming forget abt benchmarking or overclocking lol . i have intel board so i cant overclock my memory .

overall, i would say my TA ram is pretty average performer . nothing solid compared to the better RAMs available in the market like transcend, hynix , samsung etc .

Since the fan is a very critical component of that series of coolers and since it is not working , i would gladly take a shot at making it work.

Its not about benchmarking or overclocking,memtest86 helps one to identify if the ram is bad i.e can it provide error free operation at the stated frequency.Only memtest86 or even better gold memory can attest to that fact.
W/o any specifics owing to the high rate of spurious memory in the market,I think TE should make it mandatory for people to prove that the ram they are selling is good by doing 1 test of memtest86 (takes not more than half an hour) and posting a screenie.
Again want to emphasize this is no way implies that ur ram is bad nor is this an attempt at 'thread-jacking'.Merely suggesting a fair business practise that will benefit one and all.

but there is a technical glitch. how can you take a screen shot while running memtest86 , unless you have a digicam.
or is there a setting in the memtest86 program itself.?? (if there is i never looked for it.:ashamed: :huh: )
 
Yeah I think u need a digicam.But in the shareware version of goldmemory u do have the option of saving results onto a file,that should suffice.
Should be less and less of a problem though as most ppl have a basic digicam these days.
Prime 95's blend test is also a very good test of memory that runs in windows itself.Usually finds errors fairly quickly(<1-2 hours).
 
I am ready to do the memtest86 and report back the results but the problem is I dont have a floppy disk drive . i tried making my usb drive as bootable but the install.bat tells my usb drive as an error . any other programs ?
 
Yeah create a boot cd-simple download the .iso of either goldmemory or memtest86(use google) and use nero to burn the images.Hardly takes 3-4 minutes for the entire process of downloading the files and burning an image.
Even ur word will suffice.LOL.
 
memtest86 is os independent.
d/l the bootable "iso" image and burn it on a cd.
use that cd to boot and it will automatically run the program.
 
was able to burn the ISO image of memtest86 to a cd . booted it and it ran memtest86 .. i waited for half an hour and it was going on i didnt know what to do . i thought it was enough ? pass : 4 no errors till then . the cursor was on L2 Cache . shd i run the default standard tests and completely wait for it to get over ? i also downloaded Prime95 and goldmemory . right now , prime test ( blend test ) is running .

Artic cooler Freezer 4 sold to Deejay for a special price of rs.1100 .. cldnt help because i need to buy brand new 512mb of good quality .. do you guys trust Hynix ?

buyers for Geforce 4 mx urgently required ! it is a good card and never gave me problems :)
 
tried prime95 blend test and it gave me no problems .
self-test 1024K passed
self-test 8k passed
self-test10K passed
selk-test 896K passed
self-test 768K passed
self-test 12K passed

torture test ran 1 hours, 40 minutes - 0 errors , 0 warnings .
execution halted ( when it is started doing 14K test )

i hope there will be some buyers for this ram . price down to 2200rs .
 
Yeah lets hope.My KVR 333 is also on for sale( 2x256mb).Thing is people in port towns have ram cheap already but here in delhi the illiterate pigs of Nehru Place(excuse me!!) still sell it at high premium.Hynix 512mb ddr at 2750!!!When its 2.2k in Bombay.
PS: Selling the Ram offline is much easier than selling it online atleast in my experience.Got two good offers offline but since prices here never came down I decided to not to sell for now.Best of luck mate. :clap:
