Reason for Sale: Want to buy AMD Athlon X2 3800+

And how exactly is it a good decision to sell a core2duo and buy an A64 X2 ? It's a good deal of course, but I feel that Udit needs some help. He seems to be depressed and needs couselling.

thanks for all your concerns & suggestions guys I really appreciate it :)

iam not at all depressed iam just getting x2 3800+ bcoz i dont need higher performance than x2 4800+ or x2 5000+ & i have no money for Asus P5W DH Deluxe+2x1GB DDR2 Ram

lastly i can get the performance of a X2 4800+/5000+ even from a x2 3800+@2.8-2.9GHz except that it does not have 2MB L2 Cache

hmmm ofcourse the core 2 duo is a better processor but look at the present market scenario ...no decent board is available for it.
if udit purchases a 3800X2 , he can easily run it at 2.5-2.6ghz 1:1 with those ram sticks and get very good perfomance.
when he already had such a god amd setup i think he should have waited for sometime more and let the conroe platform become stable and available.

exactly . . no need of getting the 3800X2 now..
 
AFAIK,
Udit got his A8NE and 3000+ in May 2006!!
GSkill DDR 500 around a month back!!
Had been on a P4 something since 2004 end!!

Since he had a Decent 939 mobo and 2x1GB of Very good DDR RAM- he could have stuck with his 3000+ or plonked in an X2 3800+ as he had planned originally!!

Even i was kinda shocked when i heard from him that he had purchased the 6300 and Asrock mobo(I hear- NO Dual Channel, No SATAII,...:S)!!
That would require him to buy a better mobo later and 2GB of DDR2 800 to tap the proccy's true potential i guess!!

Now this revision in sale!!

So i have asked him to reconfirm all his decisions with our Gurus- Darklord, Deejay, Funky, Harshal, Switch, Crazy_Eddy, The Mask, Chaos,...
(Pardon me if i have not posted more names- but you'll got the idea!!)

Whatever you do Udit- Think well- Choose well- Be Happy!!:)
 
Thats what Iv been trying to tell him :P

Stick to the C2D re....even if it can do a max of 320x7 or whatever..it still out performs the AMD :P

OT: BIKeINSTEIN - Why do you put 2 "!!" after every sentence? Its weird :rofl:
