fortemanager from lg allows controlling all the monitor functions/modes w / o accesing the buttons on the monitor.

the panel i got after panel replacement on 6th march was having a single stuck(not dead) pixel and even then that panel was replaced after 2 days for a new flawless panel. warranty service is that good. i will prefer an lg 24" trade for this 22" rather than any other. imo, lg panels rock. not to mention their high contrast and deep blacks. i got the new panel just hours earlier today(8th mar 08) at 1pm or so.

^for 16.5k it has firmware revision 1.3; the latest here i think(rev 1.13+ monitors had their rtc errors corrected) and its 2ms is indeed fast. read the xbitlabs review dated quite sometime back. and they sell these in 3000:1 and 5000:1 panels. i dunno if the 5000:1 are avail. now or not. people can argue in this thread over the lgl226wtq series. no problem for me. its one of the(if not the) best 22" can offer, many people have rated this as one of their best purchases in pc peripherals. plus the price is ok too.

kinda thinkin of keepin the display now:S cause the 24" i want might not the even little close to its response time....and i don't care about viewing angles much...cause i just sit in front even though a viewing angle will matter more in 24" due to its size itself. still i might be tempted by an offer:P to trade

5000:1 are still available, At least at croma in Mumbai.

i think it would be easier for you to sell it and then buy a 24"... its a very good display and shouldnt be a problem to sell it... but to trade it with a bigger display will be difficult since no one wants to downgrade the size of their display... unless its a bad 24" display which i am sure you wouldnt want either....

^...u are right! less people would wanna downgrade their size. i will have to check out the 24" before buying so that it doesn't turn out to be a bad one. or maybe just make this thread an FS one..thanks for the advice dude.

bump. but not selling since no good 24" avail. locally will trade only for now. 2408wfp reported color problems as such. so its a difficult decision for me.

g400w benq model is wayy overpriced. lg 246wp not avail.
