guys am planning on getting a dell st2210,as i want to upgrade to a larger screen. :cool2:
my budget is around 9k.
my question is that how full my gfx handle full hd for movies and desktop display purposes.
I know i cant do full hd gaming on it. :no:
but on what resolution can i reasonably play on my card with decent fps.
One more thing do dvd rips look bad on full hd display.:huh:

They look ok... I mean it looks kinda blurry if you know what i mean... I'll take a screenshot playing a dvd rip movie on my Full HD monitor so you will be able to see the quality of the image. For just one time watch flicks , it is more than ok to watch but if you like certain movies... it is ofcourse advisable to get it in HD.

could you answer my other question,regarding upto what resolution can i game?

for example: a game like grid or fifa 10 on my card?
 
I can play FIFA 10 and GRID at 1920×1080 without any FPS hiccups on my 4670. With high graphic detail no less.
 
Exactly as naneo said, ive used my 4670 to play GRID at fullHD resolution on my samsung monitor, and it works smoother than dangerous dave would on a cray supercomputor!

point being, there are certain good games which can actually run great...so dont worry about movies and blurry desktop.
 
Thats great news guys,

But the sad thing is the change of mind of dad,he decided getting a 22 incher,especially a full hd one would be a waste of space and money.

"Bah!,Its just gonna display the same thing" :@

Now I'm bidding time and hope to convince him :)
