Something wrong your keyboard? Is your caps lock key stuck? :p

hhmm sorry dint get that :ashamed:

@Sarang yeah ill surely let you know mate as soon as i get my new cabby, will sell my current chieftec cabby for sure :)

CM690 is a pretty good cabbie AFAIK. Am not much into high end cabbies tho.
@Sarang: You will have a very bad exp with CM and Chieftec stuff in Pune. Even if you get them the rates are exorbitant. You would be better off ordering from Techshop.in or Prime; or else do what I did "Shivneri" buses :bleh:

@dj: i know man, tried hard, cudnt find chiefs at anywhere,

appo sir has rightly instructed to stay away from CM.

But it seems that i m in luck as agm'll be prolly selling his chieftec soon.

Looking for a full tower cabinet at 4K. I have found few but the price were above +4K. I was looking for something like NZXT ZERO at that range

Please do elaborate on your idea of a full tower case as per requiremnts.

Also list your rig specs- the full config. :)

IMO comparatively priced CM would anyday pwn the TTs.

Can you please explain what you meant- i sincerely didn't get what you meant? :)

You have the amazing Apo sir for guidance and still seem to be making some fleeting statemets here and there. :p

@bikey: the case in point here is the 690 and the one phoenix was hawking a few days back, at about same price. I hope u recall the discussion.

Sorry for not being specific. :ashamed:

OK now you're getting me concerned. Are the 690's flawed/bad ??? Any concerns there ???

Woah- 'hawking' is some sort of a racist comment? :hap5:
And no room for 'sorry' and 'thank you' on TE- all's cool with me except for some things like posting crap, b**ching, trying to con others and being ungrateful i guess. :)

@dj : no one said anything bout the 690, its about the TT being poorer than the 690 at similar price point.
"poorer" in terms of?? The poor surely don't afford Tt cases.

@Bikey: poor woudnt even afford a 690, :p me included.

This should settle the score betn TT n CM.

For my views on not going for CM690

1. I stash it down ma table
2. looks dont matter to me that much.
3. 690 build somehow feels finicky to me.
4. That many fans in ma bedroom
5. Solidity is a must with a 2month old and growing lil bomb in ma household with all the meshes i would've had more to worry.

I wanna stash it but no chance. It not a head turner if you ask me

Neither to me

Personal view :)

No sound here I sleep soundly with my PC on. I'm the most timid sleepers in my family.

I find a 690 pretty good cabby. If you can travel all over Pune to visit me then ur welcome man !!!

@DJ: I have seen the CM so no point in taking a second look. The chieftec surely looks sturdier and built to last. I dont have anything against the CM690 as such, all very personal opinions as you rightly pointed out.

And I think the Chieftec's look like the servers most of us have at our offices. Pretty good if you want to have a feeling that you own a server :bleh: but also a pretty good cabby I would like to say. I would've bought a Chieftec but then it was too heavy so dropped the idea.

How much does a new Chieftec cost?
I prefer the less plasticky CM590 more, with it's freeflow in-line HDD bays. :)
And let me try and confuse you a bit.
I have posted this so many tiems but once more for you.
For starters, i won't touch a cabby with a psu at the top again- as in the Chiefy.
Psu at the bottom runs much cooler as in CM690.
The psu fan is a cooling fan for the psu but ends up as an exhaust fan when sitting next to the cpu hsf.
PSU runs hotter, more degradation of components, instability of power, etc etc. :p
HDDs run a bit hot in CM690. That's why i prefer the stacker like CM590. :p
A cabby as big and voluminous as the Chieftec also needs fast enough evacuation of the hotter air inside.
A midtower case with a single 50cfm 120mm exhaust fan will usually have lower inside ambient temps than a Full tower case with the same and only exhaust fan- with the same setup- coz air gets refreshed faster in the midtower as it has lesser volume of air to begin with.
So if i need a single, fast 120mm fan with 70-100cfm, that tends ot be noisy, for effective ventilation, i am better off using 2x120mm fans with 50-60cfm each as exhaust.
More fans but not exactly noisier, without compromising on the cooling. :)
Also i don't think i will ever use my case as a stool or ladder or stand.
So the 'flimsier than CM Stacker' sheetmetal on CM690/590 but strong enough to stay together as a case will be ok for daily use, knocks from kids, kaamwaali baais, boisterous friends included.:p
Pricing can be lower for sure but there ain't many offering that much functionality at that price point.
Doesn't mean prices can stay where they are- they should drop. :p

Dammit, I thought 14K and I was about to holler "Cosmos S". My bad. Look at Chieftec, they have some darn huge server-like chassis'.

Biki I was looking for Full tower for a new rig that will be build but still on hold for Deneb. I wanted good room space inside the cabinet not so much on the look. For look, a little bit of custom work, thats all. :) So thought of having all of you's view.

I have come through the CM ATCS 840. this one seems to be great. but can't find the price of it. I think it might be expensive one. Do any of u have any idea. :ashamed:

What's your realistic budget?

(i.e. something not a paisa more or less than you may be able to pay instantly. :) )

I said it b4r, must have seen it. Nothing can b made final now. But any full tower info is welcomed, at least I came to know about them. Also will keep a keen eye on the market to see if anybody have any such offer.
