Hello guys .. :)

I'm planning to switch to Reliance 1MBPS Unlimited plan in 2-3 days ..

I wud be glad if anyone can tell me if they have implemented or going to implement any Fair Usage Policy on their plans ..

Any feedback on uploads & downloads from existing users wud be greatly appreciated :hap2:

Here's the link :

Welcome to Reliance Communications

It depend on your location. If Reliance tower is near to your home and you get a signal of 20 to 25, then you can definitely go for it.

thanks for posting this thread man. i am on reliance wired 600kbps and i would have never known that i can upgrade to 1mbps by just paying 100 bucks more. reliance of course didn't tell me about it... i just put in a request at their customer care for the upgrade.

edit - alright so they upgraded my connection about an hour ago. pretty decent for them to do it in 3 hours on a saturday evening. however, speeds are not 1mbps yet... i'm getting 100KBps on downloads instead of the expected ~130. will have to talk to them again tomorrow or on monday.

yea forgot to mention that there's no FUP. when i asked the guy, he didn't even know what FUP meant . i had to explain it to him and he confirmed that the connection is unmetered.

Woah ! So many replies !?

Thanks a lot guys ! I've already subscribed to their connection .. Will get it in a few days :)

Will update the thread once i start using it ;)

:O:O:crazy: I'm on the same 600kbps for the past so many months! Is this specified on the site or did you call them up directly? I'm going to call tomorrow anyways.

yea it's mentioned on the site linked in the op. the plan is called "zoom 1mbps unlimited". just call *377 (their call centre) and tell the guy that you want an upgrade. your connection should get upgraded within a few hours.

please do check speedtest and post back here once you're upgraded. i want to see if you get proper 1mbps instead of the nonsense i'm getting.

on torrents you'll get 100-115
on html & speed tests it's 128-135 so reliance won't help :)

i'm not getting that speed. http/torrents are all exactly 100kbps. speedtest.net shows 0.8mbps on average. even the reliance speedtest which you can access from the reliance account homepage is only showing 750kbps.
