Google/Galaxy/Moto/Xperia Glass

Google Glass looks like a fad to me. I don't want something fixed on my head at all times. The smartwatch has a limitation that you need to have a device to communicate with it, like a phone or a bluetooth headset at the very least. The phone in itself is a comprehensive device which can perform multitude of tasks, much like a super mini computer.

So while the watch and Glass have their own specific uses or novelty factor, I doubt that the phone will disappear. If at all they will make the phone wearbable or make the watch more like a full fledged phone. :p
 
Glass and smartwatches are a part of the same breed of devices : Wearables. And wearables are going to be the future. By their very nature, one person is going to own and interact with multiple devices at the same time, and these devices will have the ability to talk among themselves. The google glass may or may not work, but there is sure going to be one "optical wearable" in the future.
