hi,
got this mail from a friend.
Dear Friends!

Petrol in Pakistan Rs17 per litr
Malaysia Rs 18 per litr
In India it's Rs.65per litr

Why is there a difference in India ? World Market CRUDE Oil is not
the reason for this. It's all Gain for private owners? As we are the
general public, or Common Man as R.K.Laxman wud hv said, we have to
raise our voice, let's raise thru Emails.

Forward this to all Indians who care.
It has been calculated that if everyone did not purchase a drop of
Petrol for one day and all at the same time, the oil companies would
Choke on their stockpiles.

At the same time it would hit the entire industry with a net loss
Over 4.6 billion dollars which affects the bottom lines of the oil
Companies.
Therefore "
Feb.14 th" has been formally declared

"stick it up their behind " day and the people of this nation should
Not buy a single drop of petrol that day.

The only way this can be done is if you forward this e-mail to as
Many people as you can and as quickly as you can to get the word
Out. Waiting on the government to step in and control the prices is
Not going to happen. What happened to the reduction and control
In prices that the arab nations promised two weeks ago?

Remember one thing, not only is the price of petrol going up but
At the same time airlines are forced to raise their prices,
Trucking companies are forced to raise their prices which affects
Prices on everything that is shipped. Things like food, clothing,
Building supplies medical supplies etc. Who pays in the end? We
Do!
We can make a difference.if they don't get the message after one
Day, we will do it again and again. So do your part and spread the
Word. Forward this email to everyone you know. Mark your
Calendars and make* *
*feb.* 14 th

A day that the citizens say
"enough is enough"

We forward so many junk email to many of our friends, now let us do
it for some useful cause to cut down the price of the petrol .. ....

REMEMBER : *Feb * 14 th

Revolt for Petrol ??
May be a spam ,may be not but good one.
has anyone came across / got similar mail.

If People in US stop Fueling for a Day then the prices may come down... :P

Not in India... We will fuel on 13th or 15th and use it usual on 14th... :P

I'm not sure its good at all.

Choke on their stockpiles.
Does petrol price decontrol mean anything to you ?

The govt said it wasn't going to cushion the prices of diesel & petrol last June. Therefore prices would rise & fall as the spot market price fluctuated.

Petrol in Pakistan Rs17 per litr
Malaysia Rs 18 per litr
In India it's Rs.65per litr
I doubt these prices are accurate.

Why is there a difference in India ? World Market CRUDE Oil is not
the reason for this. It's all Gain for private owners?
So other 'private owners' would just have to lower the proice slightly and capture the market :)

If the petrol prices are hiked because of idiots like these, god save this country...

If you have such a problem with the fuel prices go to UAE.

Had been to Malaysia recently and Petrol over there costs 2 Ringits (~30 Rs.)! So, the info in OP is not entirely correct, though I agree with the idea!

Shell normal is same price or sometimes even lower than normal HP/BP petrol, apart from that you need not worry about factors like purity and quantity at shell, that is why i refuel only at shell.

@mjumrani

Probably, but for those 2-3 rupees more you get far better petrol IMO.

Moreover in the area where i work (Hinjewadi, Pune), all petrol pumps are chor and they always try to rip off the customers so better avoid them.

oh! i am not in bangalore since last month and there was a price increase during that time, what can we do saar..

highest road tax in country: bangalore
highest petroleum tax in country: bangalore

So a car which costs 12lakhs on-road in other places in the same country costs 14 lakhs on-road in bangalore and then they charge us the highest tax on petrol, i think Karnataka Govt. wants us to sell/burn/drown our vehicles and travel in their BMTC buses.

Nicely said dude "I think Karnataka Govt. wants us to sell/burn/drown our vehicles and travel in their BMTC buses" Crazy guys they are man....

oh easy there dude.first im not writing 'review abt petrol or it's prices' .as the title say it's a forward and the price in malaysia and pakistan looks fake or old.just the idea of not refueling on feb 14 was good IMO.also most of us (I guess ) would with someone special.we won't even remember this....

What?

Means I got to start getting petrol at shell like I used to before someone convinced me its of no use (wonder who that someone was)

Where do you work in Hinjewadi?

I work in Wipro Phase 2

You buy at Shell not looking at the price, but because you won't get cheated. Every petrol bunk I know of cheat in many ways, there was a long discussion on this on team-bhp, search that to know more.
