FX 5051 or MX 5021 which one is best

which is a bigger priority for you movies or music ? 5051 being 5.1 would be better for movies and 5021 would be better for music.

whats your budget for sound card ?
 
FX5051 is not a great set if audio quality is important. Better be off with Logitech X-540 which is much cheaper.
 
i give importance to sound quality.............music is first choice. like good bass. budget for sound card is below 10k

among two speaker system which one iproduse more dep bass? what is the difference bet ween 4 ohm & 8ohm woofers. i need good quality sound. for my movie and music plz help me..................:)

Let others confirm, but from what I think:

Mx5021 should be better especially for music but there won't be any surround effects. Fx5051 will probably be better for movies and perhaps even games but only due to the surround effect.

I am not sure but the bass should definitely be deeper with the mx 5021.
 
I would vote for MX-5021. It definitely has better audio quality than FX-5051. FX-5051 has massive bass but the overall quality is not comparable to MX-5021.

MX5021 do not have bass :rofl:.They are the best in that price range .I have been using it from past 2 years and it has ample amount of bass.I guess u got a wrong product :P
 
true. when I watch movies like Terminator and Jurassic park, the bass is so good that it feels like dinosaur is walking outside my room. It may not be heavy like Z2300 but it definitely is just the right amount.

Seems like a defective sub to me. Or you are bass-deaf! :P

I don't keep mine beyond the 2nd LED on the pod. 3 at the max.
 
i got the fx5051 recently. I was a bit skeptical at first reading the mixed reviews, but i must say im very content with the purchase. The sound is quiet balanced, and surround is great for movies and gaming. The only complaint i have is the hiss which is present.
 
I would recommend a Sony/Philips 5.1 HT, the cheapest model. Either of those would cost 7-9k and probably blow away the FX5051 or Logitech X540.
 
^^ hmmm im not quiet sure about that. I had a philips mms430, which is a good speaker set. But the bass was very boomy and lacked depth and tightness. After i got the fx5051, the bass was in the right place and was very deep and tight and not all over the place as with the philips. @OP i am using a Asus Xonar DX with my 5051, I had a Sound Blaster previously and the difference is quiet noticeable with the Xonar. Im very happy with the music on the 5051, i love deep bass and the isobaric sub on these goes quiet deep :)

MX5021, its very good for movies, just without the surround thing. Also no shite cables snaking around everywhere ;)
