I am having a big problem since Friday evening. My system abruptly reboots all fans hdd off. 3 sec later the motherboard reboots automatically.

It’s not bsod’s. I didn’t have a single bsod since I bought this motherboard 1 month ago.

I read on the internet that this problem is specific to gigabyte motherboards.

The 2 most common causes posted on the internet were

1) Related to usb devices.

I don’t have any usb devices attached .And I have already tried disabling the usb setting that were mentioned.

2) Overheating.

I suspected this might be the problem since my stock Intel cooler did not provide sufficient cooling. So I bought a Thremalright ultima-90I.Yes my temperature went down. But problem still persists.
The reboot occurs at different times.

Sometimes after loading windows vista.

Sometimes on starting a game.

Sometimes while vista is loading.

Sometimes after post and before windows loads.

Sometimes it keeps restarting before post can occur.
I have tried updating to latest bios F11 released last month. But that hasn’t helped.

I have 3 ram sticks (2 GB + 1 GB +1GB) tried putting single ones .Problem still exists.

I have tried fail safe settings and optimized settings options in bios hasnt helped.

I feel like RMAing everything in my system :help:

:Comp3:

I feel PSU would be the culprit.

But it can something as simple as a loose wire somewhere, esp. the power cable/ plug point.

Do check and revert!

Posting while the system is still up xD.
I cant run memtest because it restarts before test can complete.
I plugged in all cables when i fit the new heat sink.
When I was monitoring the pc health screen in bios right now I observed that voltage of DDR and +3.3V and Vcore changes for fraction of a second.
DDR voltage from 1.90 V changes to x.90V. I can not determine number the first digit changes to.
Same occurs for +3.3V and Vcore.

I m gonna rma the psu n see it that fixes it

I got the vx 450 RMAed. Holidays delayed the rma process :(.

10 mins since first boot so I cant say if the problem is solved.

I will run it for a day and verify if the problems still exists.
