Guys,

Would be making a trip to Gaffar mkt (Delhi )soon to return 3 old phones and pick up two new ones.

Either that or will choose the local shops (Noida sec 18) to return the old cell phones off depending on the advice.

E52 seems to be on the card so Gaffar trip is inevitable. Looking forward to Seller's warranty atleast b4 finalising.

Hunting for:

1) Nokia E52

2) Nokia N79 / Nokia 6700 Classic

Gonna Return:
1) Nokia 5800 ( 11 Mnths old)

2) Nokia 6270 ( 4yrs old )

3) SE 900i ( 3 yrs old )

Queries:

1) Is Gaffar a good option Vs the local shops for returning old phones to get some cash back? vfm ?

2) If any good shop fellow members know of and mention here, it would be very helpful.

3) Any good software/method to wipe off the memory of these phones (mem chips + onboard memory) ?

4) Is it worth returning the memory chip back at all ?

1)gaffar is okay if you want quick cash for your sale, because they offer less money than what your phone is worth.you can try bargaining though.
2)cant help you here
3)do a factory reset or a hard reset.(in options)
4)take it out and try selling without it.if they ask for the card included in the package, give it.

ive bought a lot of phones from ghaffar, and i have never had problems with anything(phone/warranty/accessories).i bought a silver k750i from ghaffar (without bill) and sold it there two years later in excellent condition.not a single problem ever.

when selling the phone, make sure you keep an eye on it while theyre examining it.they may switch out battery etc.

hope that helped.

Well in Gaffar you can get good money for your second hand phones as my friend sold his Nokia7710 last year & got 3.5k for that.
Yeah you can easily buy any phone from gaffar & wll never have any problems with them.
You can try out Vaishno Electronics. They are very reliable dealers in Gaffar but do hunt for better price deals at oother shops too.
I hope this may help you.:)

Thanks for the replies.. will check Gaffar with the tips in mind..

Hoping to take more suggestions before i make the trip tomorrow.
