Game errors >> Help !!!!!

lol...try reinstalling vcredist_x86...do u have either vista or ati g card or both...u can check on google/gamespot forums reg this runtime error....i only get the first error, and it doesn't abort the game...
 
I am running that game on XP & having a 8600GT 512mb gfx card.

will try reinstalling the game & vcredist.

will post the outcome
 
the game worked for me, but i cudnt save.

i did it via running the game as administrator :D

please guide me for saving my game, cos i cudnt understand a thing in that gamespot link above.

I just made backup of the *.gpd file after that what???
 
yeah i'd read in one of the posts to run .exe as admin (but that prob was quoted for vista)...anyway...i can't even backup my .gpd file (since i can't find it anywhere). Above link says "Copy it, keep it for safe keeping, you also might want to make a shortcut to that folder since it can be a pain to access. Whenever the game deletes your saves just restore that file and youll beable to start from the last checkpoint." Just try it, else rename the chapter*.sav in ur wargame/checkpoint dir to chapter0.sav (*=level you want to play)...of course do save original chapter0.sav...now when u start from "act 1", it loads from the * chapter... Epic better sort this thing out soon....Did u try making ur gamer profile (press 'home' at start menu screen and make it)
 
I made the gamer profile, but i cannot save it as when i start the game it states that using a local gamer profile, u wont be able to save the checkpoints

also u have to follow this path: C:\Documents and Settings\UR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\xlive\.....

also there are no save games in my Microsft soft games folder.

b/w do i have to signup online to be able to save???

M$ sucks man, they are forcing users to signup to their live accounts, even when we dont want to :P

Download the warengine.zip & do as said in the readme.
Thanks to the guy named GOTTEX in that forum.
The crack does the following things -
Live support was disabled (profile will be saved in your My Games folder) and only LAN games will work.
There won't be any checks for ping and game will be fully playable over Hamachi or any other VPN.

If you want to play over Hamachi, make sure that Hamachi virtual adapter is in higher priority than
your all other network connections.

Yes, all players will have Player1 as a name, it is not changeable unless you "hex" OnlineSubsystemPC.u.

yeah, the only problem is that you dont get to select your profile name :)

but that can be overlooked. SAVES are working fine for me & all on that forum also for my friend :D
