Gameferno can classically be termed as a Gamers Haven and in a more modern term as a large uncontrollable Fire set on the Gaming Arena set ablaze by Esportz India.

Esportz is proud to present GAMEFERNO, India’s biggest Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) Event / LAN Gaming Event. We have been planning this event for a couple of weeks now. This post would be very brief to let everyone know that we are doing a BYOC event and our aim is to make sure this event is the best ever in the history of Esportz in India till now. We would be able to give out a few details none the less. We have already booked the venue for this event. The Gameferno B.Y.O.C (Bring your own computer) LAN and Gaming Event is a 48 hour gaming extravaganza! We bring in gamers from different offices, universities and gamers from all around the country to participate in every type of game imaginable! There will be something for everyone as people go head to head in console games, try their luck in a popular first person shooter, or even settle for the more traditional role playing games!

Date: 13th December, 10 A.M – 15th December 10 A.M. (48 hours to be precise)

Tournament in the following games:

Counter Strike 1.6 (5 v 5)

Warcraft: Defense of the Ancients (5 v 5)

Crysis: Warhead (5 v 5)

Grid (1 v 1)

Fifa 2009 (1 v 1)

Quake 3 CPMA

The format and rules of each game will be given in the next post within a week.

Capacity:

We will provide space for up to 400 gamers at this event. (yes it's 400! It's not a typo)

Ok guys. Here we are with the updates as promised. We're really sorry to inform everyone that 'Need For Speed : Undercover' & 'Command & Conquer 3' have been removed from the tournament and we have 'Grid' & 'Quake 3 CPMA' instead of those 2 games. Also as promised here are the updates to the prize money.

1st Prize : Rs.25,000
2nd Prize : Rs 15,000
3rd Prize : Rs 10,000

For Warcraft III : Defense of the Ancients (DotA)

1st Prize : Rs.25,000
2nd Prize : Rs.15,000
3rd Prize : Rs.10,000

This event is cool , but when so many people would be attending I hope serious security would be present.

You are asking to take our complete pc , many of us have very expensive peripherals in our pc.

I read the rules and it clearly suggests , that everyone is re responsible for his own property.Which is very true , but what can you do , if massive crowds pour in front of you and your pc gets damaged or even stolen.

Lets see how it develops , best option would be to take a laptop instead of the whole pc.

lol... from your post its obvious that you don't know much about these lan parties.... dude believe you me the lan parties are organised in a proper way and you won't need any security for you stuff.. people bring their whole setup to BYOC even if it costs more than 1 lacs.... its also a sought of show-off where you can show your cabby and rest of the stuff.....

If transport is the main problem then laptops should be opted otherwise bring the whole setup and have fun at the venue. :)

I was led to believe that this would have TF2 and my Clan was supposed to participate. I had even thought of travel plans to Delhi.

That seems a good trip down the drain now that there is no tf2 here. :(

guyz don wrry bout ur fav. games not included in tournaments ... coz there can b instant mini tournament on the spot if there is high demand for the games(tf2, COD4 etc) ...so keep practicing and cm not 2 play jus the tournaments but 2 experience mega LAN gaming event

:D zzy
