Gamespot fires Jeff Gerstmann for reviewing honestly?

Nobody has mentioned any alternatives to GS for reviews or IGN.

If that's the case, it looks like forums will be the only source for 'objective' reviews.

Could the game criticising business not be adding anything significant to the bottom line ?

Nobody has mentioned any alternatives because there were no sites that had the editorial quality as GameSpot. almost all other sites use tongue-in-cheek humor and obscure references to make reviews funny and interesting. GameSpot on the other hand, went in-depth and it really felt like you were playing the game. however, for the past few months, GameSpot's reviews seemed really rushed and they really lost the attention to detail thing they were always famous for. this news only solidifies their ever-dropping quality, sadly.

am I missing something? what were you pointing at? the latest poll doesn't have anything to do with Jeff or Eidos. did they remove something?

Yeah they removed it. For a little while, under the same question they have now, the options were changed related to the issue at hand.

even 1up is following the same bandwagon what these guys are doing. Its all money boss, I wouldnt be suprised if he starts his own review sites....with actual REAL reviews.

Baah! Gamespot's explanation was non-existent. The exact reason is still unrevealed although they did say it had nothing to do with the Kane and Lynch review. Still, some of their explanations sound almost too dubious.
