m confused....For a build for gaming (with monitors and super cooling and mod stuff i want to OC to 4+ Ghz) my budget is 50k i want a good looking machine glowing all the time. my friend made a i7 rig in 80k its cool...I saw the galleries i liked Promtheus and Optimus Prime but they are way out of my budget...If u all can make a rig like thm good looking and super cooling and modding...But in my budget...My budget is of 50k~70k

check out my rig gallery here , u can make similar config easily in 70k

Q9550 - 14.5k

Gpu - GTX 280 - 19k

G.skill pi black - 3.2k

real power 550w - 5.5k

CM 690 + lights and fans - 5.5 k

DVD RW - 1.1k

@freakster
Just a suggestion though... the rig suggested by robo is cool too!!!

If you can try to manage around 84k you can get yourself an i7 setup!!

Something like this:

i-920 2.66GHz i-920 - (8MB L3 Cache) 15150

Gigabyte GA-EX58-DS4 Intel® X58 + ICH10R Chipset 15350

G-Skill
(5 Yrs Warranty) DDR 3 F3-10666CL9T-3GBNQ (1GB x 3) 1333 MHz 6375

500GB 7200.12 - 2800

Palit GTX 260 894MB SP216 DDR3 PCI With HDMI 16725

CM 690 + lights and fans - 5500

DVD RW - 1100

Benq E2200HD - 11500

Mx 518 1350

logitech g15 4500

Tagan TG500-U37 500W SMPS (Max Power upto 600W) 3525
Total approx 83875

get a 4850x2 through kmd. i strongly suggest a core i7 or else save your money and go for a 5k mobo + q6600/8200

btw if u want 4850x2 i am selling the 2gb one ;) faster than GTX 280 in most games .

@ arpan . i wont suggest getting tagan 500 / 600w stone rock . its good but something like tx650 atleast is recommended for i7 rig .

overclocking i7 to 4ghz is not easy but u can take Q9550 to 4ghz very easily .

@Robo thnx da will chk it now... @arpan da my budget can be above 70k for tht i will w8 for few days and am looking for rupee to come down

@freakster

If its a matter of few days , then why not wait and become a proud owner of an i7 machine!!:hap2:

Hey guys i am also here and robo i chked ur rig wats the cost of ur rig.....And ya gimme a list of stuffs to buy and from which site

lol i didnt built it at once , i keep on upgrading :rofl: total expense over 125k easily till now . now building an i7 rig next month .

u can get the stuff from katmandude ( he gets it imported from US ) , or if u want locally then pm rahul ( theitwares.com ) .

well then it boils down to something like this:

i-920 2.66GHz i-920 - (8MB L3 Cache) 15150

Gigabyte GA-EX58-DS4 Intel® X58 + ICH10R Chipset 15350

G-Skill
(5 Yrs Warranty) DDR 3 F3-10666CL9T-3GBNQ (1GB x 3) 1333 MHz 6375

500GB 7200.12 - 2800

Palit GTX 260 894MB SP216 DDR3 PCI With HDMI KMD 12800

CM 690 + lights and fans - 5500

DVD RW - 1100

Benq E2200HD - 11500

Mx 518 1350

logitech g15 4500

Corsair hx 650 6500
Total: 83000

spending so much on cpu and mobo wont make sense for his budget , games need more gpu power , Q9550 at 4ghz will me more than enough and he can get decent ddr2 kit at half price and mobo under 10k .and a more powerful gpu for full HD monitor . u also missed speakers there :P

@RoBoGhOsT

i7 according to me makes sense as its new.. and maybe thats the reason u r upgrading to i7!!!:P
