What controller did you settle with?
I am actually in a quandry!
Having used a Playstation controller all my life, I have the PS buttons (△ O X ◻ L1 L2 R1 R2) embedded in my mind and muscle memory, so it's really difficult for me to try & re-learn the Xbox layout (X Y A B LB LT RB RT) that is commonly found on most PC controllers these days.
I picked up an Xbox controller after I read about its superior compatibility with PC, and also ordered the Gamesir Cyclone 2 & Apex Vader 4 Pro (enroute) on side as alternatives, after reading rave reviews about them. However, while using these controllers to play games on PC, the Xbox button layout & placement is simply too cumbersome for me to remember; I keep looking at the controller and this is taking all the fun out of gaming!
I have scoured the internet trying to find a solution to emulate the Xbox controller as a Playstation controller, so that games display the Playstation prompts on screen, but I am yet to find one. Maybe, you or someone from this forum can help.
If nothing works out, I plan to get a Razer/Nacon PS5 compatible controller for PC, or simply pick up a PS5 dual-sense controller and use it for PC gaming.

Is it really that hard? Honestly the first few days would be a bit odd but it didn't take me that long to adapt to it, I just had to force myself to go through the first difficult phase of switching from an xbox to a playstation. It's sort of like muscle memory for me and the only difference that took me some time was obviously the left stick location along with the X button being different for the games. It just seems far more difficult to go and try to create some software chemical experiment just to have the xbox controller as a playstation controller (when infact native playstation prompts weren't even that common until a while back)

have you tried droidjoy software?
I read about this; I believe this helps you use your phone as a controller..

I know I'm being fussy here! I have started playing FC25 with my Xbox controller and I'm getting used to the layout tbh.
I might just pick up a PS controller some day later to have it in the mix.
