It DOES look tempting. with blu-ray and bronze finish and all...but I just can't go beyond my budget(which has been stretched by 5K already) :)

Yeah you are right, but I Asus gives 2 years warranty(parts and labour). My friend had a very bad experience with a HP lappy. Broke down a day after warranty got over. Now it is costing half the original cost to get repaired.

I'm not a big fan of Acer anyways, just instinctively :D

nvids 9650 is better than a ati 3650. For starters double the video mem. This laptopn would actually be my second choice(amzing price). But I just can't live with anything less than 15". My primary use is movies and average-ish gaming. I don't think a 14" screen would do justice.
