Just check if the laptop provides thunderbolt port as external GPU can be also be added with that. Some laptops have native support some require hack job. This solution adds costs but keeps certain future proofing.

Yeah! Going through MSi's complete line-up currently available. They might do a minor refresh in February (after Chinese New Year) so looking through those possibilities.
