You can pick and choose mobo and ram but the only processor you should be looking at in your price range would be 12700f/12700(if you need the igpu), pair it with a good b660 mobo and you are set for a long time.

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my PC as well and located in Bengaluru.

Maybe we can approach an authorised dealer together for a decent discount for combined purchase?

Let me know.

You can also go for 12600kf if you want something less powerful, anyway use pcpricetracker.in to see the best prices for each of them.

CPU - Intel i5 12400 - 18.5k
Mobo - Gigabyte B660M DS3H WiFi - 11.8k
RAM - 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz C18 - 12k
CPU Cooler - Arctic Freezer 34 Duo - 3.6k (amazon is selling with bracket included)
Total - 45.9k

CPU - Intel i5 12600K - 26.5k (OC at 5GHz is really good)
Mobo - Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 - 19.7k
RAM - 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz C18 - 12k
CPU Cooler - Deepcool AK620/Assassin III - 5.3k/7k (need LGA1700 bracket)
Total - 63.5k

NZXT C750 or MSI A750GF are good 750W Gold PSU around 9k for when you upgrade GPU, required if going for 3070/3070Ti. Prefer 850W for 3080/3080Ti.

Good shops in SP Road worth checking, Anand IT (beside Ankit), Ankit Infotech, IT Gain & Super Computer. Golchha is just too high priced.

Are there price inclusive of GST?

Yes, you might be able to get them even cheaper, but those are general prices. I myself have i5 12400 + that B660M mobo paired along with a 3070. Those SP Road shopkeepers will tell you prices w/o GST, so don't get excited easily.

Thank you for the tips.. How is your mobo workin, there are some bios issue with Gigabyte mobo as of now. I am thinking about MSI mobo instead, what do you say?

Yes, by default the BIOS is bad & limits performance severely. I got like 2000 points in Cinebench R20. Then I updated BIOS to F5 version & got 3700 points in Cinebench R20, the CPU consumes up to 80W on 100% CPU load. On multiple Cinebench R20 runs, I observed 90C for CPU & 76C for VRM. Considering a cheap mobo, I feel its ok. For me WiFi was non-negiotable because of the current internet arrangement.

As you can spend more & if you don't need WiFi, I was getting Asus Prime H670 plus for 14.5k. I will consider that to be a better deal. If Asus TUF B660 Plus WiFi was 17k instead of B660M variant, that would have been an easy pick as well. ATX B660 mobos can offer up to 3x M.2 slot, good to have.

I feel MSI B660M-A Pro is more expensive than it should be. Those high end B660 mobos are too close to some decent entry level Z690 mobos, so no point getting those.

I need Wifi too, so Asus TUF B660 Plus WiFi will not be overkill for i5 12400f proccy right ?

Asus TUF B660 Plus WiFi is not available in India. Its B660M variant was about 7k when I bought parts. I got Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX for like 10.5k, so basically saved money & jumped from 3060Ti to 3070 (about 10k difference). I was not getting any other good mobo with WiFi that was making price sense. Asus WiFi 6 addon PCIe card costs 4k, so maybe Asus H670 Plus + Asus WiFi card for 18k is a decent choice. TUF might be able to handle even an i7 12700 well enough whereas I feel i5 12400 is the max for the Gigabyte mobo I have.

Also, Elitehubs was selling i5 12400 for 17k, 12400F for even cheaper.
