hello guys, I want to know whether there is such a version from MS?. I heard that there is such a copy in windows xp sp3 which is a corporate edition. plz reply...

Actually corporate Editions don't need the Internet activation as far as I know. My company has an MSDN subscription and ours is an unlimited license. No activation was ever needed on our machines after an OS install. However no such pre-activated version is ever available in retail. (Corporate licenses are not available of the self as far as I know)

the activation is meant to prove that the copy is genuine. why would MS activate the Os b4 hand and allow piracy. unless if it is an oem version i dont think you get a pre activated version (Genuine).

Yes that's right. Corporate license is not available for retail.

I'm using corporate edition also called volume license edition XP SP3. It's pre activated but you have to have a genuine key (not black listed by microsoft) to install it. It's not available in retail. I can give you the link to download it but it's against forum rules.

Ok Guys Lets turn the lights on...
there are various forms of Xp available...
1. Retail - an unactivated edition, transferable to pcs, needs internet to activate and checks WGA (Ok.. Windows Genuine advantage).
2. OEM - Activated if slipstreamed-Manufacturer creates the OEM code with drivers and utilities bundled. It is bundled for a PC and not transferable.
Native, Non Slipstreamed OEM Edition needs activation.
3. Corporate- Needs no activation, But licensing structure prevents from installing on computers that doesn't belong to the organisation..

Think its clear..
