41-50k Get Apple mac mini M4 within 50k without student discount

Apple is currently offering an instant cashback of ₹3,000 on the Mac Mini. By purchasing the Mac Mini with an M4 chip(16GB,256GB) regular price ₹59,900 using an ICICI Bank credit card, you can avail a no-cost EMI plan for up to 24 months. This makes the Mac Mini available for under ₹50,000, even if you're not a student. If you choose to cancel the EMI plan by contacting the bank, the effective price becomes approximately ₹49,000.

Isn't that storage too low ? I know we can add external storage, but still
Yes. External storage is not very convenient, except for backup purposes and Apple charges really high for storage and Ram upgrades. I will avoid buying anything less than 500gb.

It was 4,000 on HDFC cards last month. I'm guessing these offers come and go.

I guess it... depends.
If all you do is browsing the internet, 256G is more than enough.
I have a 256G M1 Mac for work, and it's been chugging along fine, though we also use S3 as hot storage, so that counts.

Honestly, as long as you're not
  • A gamer
  • A datahoarder
  • A creative user
  • Someone who uses their PC to backup their phone pictures
Then, 256G should be good enough imo
Setup a NAS along with it and it's pretty much the best bang for the buck solution in terms of efficiency and processing power.

But as soon as you go for higher RAM and storage, M4 Mac Mini very quickly loses its price to performance ratio imo

If all you do is browse internet then you don’t need mac. The fact that you can get 2 units of base m4 mini for same price to max out upgrades for 1 is crazy. Ram and storage are so cheap. Definitely would suggest to get aftermarket 1tb replacement.
