41-50k Get Apple mac mini M4 within 50k without student discount

Browsing too, it's just that I can't provide concrete examples. Researching about a topic through multiple websites, or browsing flight prices on multiple sites can also heavily bog down a PC.

Sure, you can claim that those aren't browsing either since you're actively doing something, but I never really browse any other way?

In any case, sorry. My bad, I should've been more clear. You're right.
I dont know about your usage but I have 32GB ram and 4 cores of xeon gold and use 50 tabs of chrome opened along with intellij and vscode open with copilot plugins, sonar lint etc and works just fine.

Every purchase involves some compromises.
The M1 MBA 256gb i purchased in 2020 is quite possibly one my best and most heavily used tech purchase in decades.
I recently sold it because of other upgrades - and i sometimes regret doing that . Never once did i feel that i am hindered by 256GB.
And while it did involve extensive usage of icloud and leaving large media files etc on a NAS, it was more than a fair compromise

With a static machine like The base M4 mini , the 256 is thankfully a compromise that is very easy to get around with zero practical disadvantages even if one does not want use icloud or NAS etc.

And yes, couldn't agree more that web browsing is quite a taxing activity on even the latest and greatest processors today.
Leaving aside niche use cases like video editing and conversion (yes, these are niche activities unlike what YT reviewers would claim :p)
The lowest battery life yield on a x64 laptop would come with constant normal everyday browsing as against other typical use cases like working on say outlook/word or watching a movie
What is usable space in 256gb machine?
Update to original post: icici bank has changed credit card emi cancellation policy. They don't allow to cancel emi within 17 days if you are getting instant cashback along with no cost emi. However, you can foreclose the emi after 17 days by paying 3% charges. Even after foreclosure charges this deal is good in my opinion, because then effective price comes around 51-52k.

Can you game on macmini?
yes, The M4 GPU isn't exactly a powerhouse but more than adequate for somewhat older games
Games like Mass effect remaster/ GTA V etc run great on medium to high settings

however very recent AAA games like cyberpunk struggle to maintain a steady frame rate unless you really drop the settings to lowest and use a low resolution

The M4 pro will likely fare better as whatever games I have tested on M3Pro run better than base M4

what about compatibility? I believe the dev will have to port is specifically for mac, right? or these games use some emulator to work on mac?

Windows versions - run them the same way as linux, i.e Wine

search for crossover which provides a very easy to use front end for Wine

Can OP explain how cancelling EMI works?

So you get the EMI discount, pay the cancellation fees and keep the discount?

And if you cancel the EMI, how does the payment for the remaining amount work? Before the next due date?

And if you cancel the EMI, how does the payment for the remaining amount work? Before the next due date? IMMEDIATELY BEFORE EMI IS CANCELLED. They take a request via phone but EMI is cancelled only after full payment is made after the request is made. They will tell you the exact amount you need to pay.

yes, thats how it works. If you have HDFC credit cards, it shows in their app if you have an EMI running and you also get an option to pay it full, with additional preclosure fee. You calculate if the preclosure fees is less than the interest you will be paying, if not it doesn't make much sense to close it.
