Get Flash Support on Galaxy Spica i5700

Well we already have an i5700 thread but i guess this deserves a dedicated thread for now.. Mods please merge after some days.

Method will work with Rooted phones.

Howto: Flash on Spica (browser too)

1. Download the attachments: flashupdate.zip, and FlashPlugin.apk

2. Move them to your sd card.

3. Install flashupdate.zip in recovery and reboot

4. Install FlashPlugin.apk from the sd card. Say ok to replace system application.

5. Reboot your phone.

Now flash should work in the browser, even youtube works for me (the desktop version)

the desktop version is to be selected at the bottom of the page in browser.

although vids play at 5fps.. kinda pointless for youtube as the youtube app works better.

but would be a good option for other videos with flash 9.

yes it is flashlite version 9.1.122

tried it and it is working for me.

Update:

For better results try on Skyfire Browser for videos.. metacafe it working fine for me over skyfire.. no 5fps thing... completely smooth and the browser even optimized video online to save upto 75% bandwidth.. vids are playing almost lag free and instantly over 160-200kbps gprs :hap2:

tried just with justin.tv

the stock browser isnt able to yet but can play using skyfire
