getting a tattoo

hello guys finally decided to get a tattoo done on my left chest...i have certain questions that i need to ask from the members who already have got tats done
1. Can i continue going to the gym after the tat ?
2. Since i have decided to not to use any sort of pain numbing cream/drug how much pain should i expect ?
3. any recommendation about a tattoo artist in Bangalore ?

Jokes apart. Answers to your queries -

1) Of course you can go to the gym after getting tattooed. That is where the main show-off is gonna be right? ;) IIRC, there was some kind of time frame that you gave the dye to settle down. I may be wrong, but it was my friend who got a tattoo. :)

2) A lot. Excruciating actually.

3) Sorry mate. I could help you with Delhi or Pune though.

i think its an eagle dude ....i just want to tell about the pain part ....its not excruciating , just a lot of mozzie bites :P, you will tense up till the first pinch of the needle after that it will be smooth sailing , whats the size of it ? just go get it done, do think what will happen to your tattoo after you lose your gym body :P

then there are frnds of mine who are artists.

let me knw where will u get it done....iam planning full arm by next year.

pain is not unbearable, take a painkiller if u cant handle
 
Woah, an eagle tattoo, thats hardcore man. I'm sure all the chicks will fall for you when they see that on your arms when you're bench pressing 10 pounds!
 
Why do you want tatoo on left chest? In my opinion this tattoo would look nice on your shoulder.
 
1. yup u can totally hit the gym after that, just give it a day or two

2. well everyone has a different tolerance towards pain, i got 1 on my calf and it was virtually painless just a little burning and pinching sensation nothing too much

3. no idea about Bangalore could suggest in Delhi/NCR

i contacted dark arts tattoo studio in Frazer Town area and the rates he quoted are Rs. 3500 for 4 sq. inch(2X2)+taxes and Rs. 600 for subsequent sq. inches...are the rates ok ?

Regarding getting the eagle tat on chest...well i have 14 inch biceps and was considering to get a tat on upper arm when i have 16-17 inch biceps but now you peeps have confused me :P so tell me would this tat look good in upper arm - bicep area ?

I've seen more tats on bicep areas then on chests. it gives you more chances to show it off as it will be more visible than under your shirt. No need to constantly shave either ;)

I'm not sure if this design would work on biceps tho. The wings need a larger area to work.

I think as a first step you show just use a marker pen and get an artistic female friend to draw it on your chest area and see how you feel about it.

Oh really?! Im sure he will feel happy and "excited" abt it, but prolly not because of the drawing :rofl:

I don't sense a lot of confidence in the OP's choice of tat nor in its location.

I suggested a lady friend as they tend to have a better eye for balance and such and qualified it by saying artisitically minded. In the end guy or girl does not matter but rather the eye.

Maybe the question to be asked of the OP, is what kind of message do you want to give off ?
 
I have plans to get a tattoo too. I had a talk with a tattoo guy and my bills running around 15k. But i can die happily once i get it.

If he had a female friend who'd do that, he wouldnt have gone in for the tatoo in the first place :P

well for me the eagle signifies freedom. I would be soon joining my first job and would be financially independent for the first time so i want to get this tattoo, to signify this important moment in my life..and to remind me of this freedom...so this is the reason of me getting this tattoo

regarding getting a female friend to draw a sample, well i would have to go to Delhi to do that ;) though i have already taken the required permission for getting the tat :P

What ever you do just remember that a tattoo is for lifetime, so choose the place and design wisely :P
