2Ghz? Could you post a link?
Be glad to post multiple links:

1. Bulletstorm GPU & CPU Performance In-depth > CPU Scaling - Core i7 9xx - TechSpot

2. Medal of Honor Single Player Graphics & CPU Performance > CPU Scaling - Core i7 9xx - TechSpot

3. Singularity GPU & CPU Performance In-depth > CPU Scaling - Core i7 9xx - TechSpot

4. A very recent game, Crysis 2

30 CPUs test in "Crysis2"

5. Battlefield Bad Company 2 (compare 2.66Ghz and 2GHz)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 GPU Performance In-depth > CPU Scaling – Core i7 9xx - TechSpot
Sankhadeep suggested me to install a new driver... and u r telling me to install old driver... i am bit confused ..

Sorry, but you see Tweaktown reviews the monthly catalyst drivers, and catalyst 11.2 was showing some issues like lower performance and etc etc

I think your FPS are fine, but it is always good to verify. Though the choppiness which your are pointing out is slightly worrisome. Could be that your CPU is not supplying enough data to the accelerator. Download Rivatuner and it will tell you all the metrics. It has a monitoring module which pulls in all relevant data. Select these options:

1. GPU Temperature. Core and VRAM.

2. CPU Load

3. GPU Load

Run a couple of shooters and lets see what is happening on full HD, since the CPU bottle neck should not be there.
I've installed MSI AfterBurner (Powered By Rivatuner)... shud i use this?

u can do d following n see if it helps:

1. clean any driver first using the uninstaller & then run driver cleaner (u can download from d guru3d site)
2. defrag ur HDD
3. set ur virtual memory to atleast half ur system RAM
4. do a clean install of the catalyst driver
5. Disable Catalyst A.I

if even after doing all this ur games are still choppy then do a format & clean install of OS & drivers.

It sometimes happen if the files of the drive from which te game is played is fragmented. So try to defragment the files with the help of in built software in windows in the system tools or a software called auslogics. Hope that will help you
