^^ The Cooler Master Real Power Pro 460W is a direct head on against Corsair VX 450W and is a good performer, I've been using it for the past 1.5 years and it has excelled at its job, just don't expect it to run any graphics card over the AMD HD 6870. Here is a review -- http://www.techenclave.com/reviews-and-previews/cooler-master-real-power-pro-460-a-133365.html.

The main difference in a single-rail and dual-rail set-up is that certain graphics cards have issues with a dual-rail SMPS. Here is something I found -- Single vs Dual Rail on 12V - Power-Supplies-PC-Cases-Case-Mods - CPU-Components. Hope this helps instead of confusing you.

I think it will be skirting its extreme power output limit as the peak output is rated ~ 550W (note that peak power cannot be sustained for long without significant damage to SMPS components) http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=5483, I bought it for ~ 3700/- (a year and a half back) try scouting for a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 550W ~ 4500/- (offered to me alongside the 460W edition).

I think to be on safer side I will take GS600 tomorrow since its the only psu near 3.5K range which is been recommended by AMD... http://support.amd.com/us/certified/power-supplies/Pages/details.aspx?item=490

I know its CWT based but it is capable of handling single GPU's upto 6970 as mentioned by AMD

What say?

b/w i dont even dare to run a 6870 on a cooler master real power series and even in vx450

vx 550 to handle 6870

6950 is faar away

Say why don't you save up some and go for the power-horse VX 550W ~ 4500/-, its reliable, got a lot of good feedback and is totally worth it, the GS 600 doesn't have all this on its side -- 3 years warranty, not much out there in its favor Corsair GS600 Reviewed (ITOCP) - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net / NEW CORSAIR PSU - GS600 - Page 4 - jonnyGURU Forums. Thanks for the rep.

Another SMPS which will fit your bill is the FSP Blue Storm 500W ~ 3700/- (a good SMPS, I might have bought this if not for my current SMPS and lack of computer gyan at that time :bleh:) FSP Blue Storm 500W Power Supply - Page 1 - Introduction / FSP Blue Storm 500w « XSReviews / Blue Storm II 500W Power Supply Review. Here is pricing @IT Wares TheITWares - One Stop for all Gizmos!FSP Blue Storm Pro 500W Power Supply - TheITWares

I recommend not to compromise on quality, it might be expensive but since I migrated to Windows 7x64 original last year I've not formatted my system, or faced BSOD's, have a credible, fast and snappy AV program for free and thoroughly enjoying my computers performance.
