Forum Feedback Getting spam messages from unknown members?

Abey tereo sirf yeh bola had i shown you my messages then i dont know what you would have done.The main thing is they are around 5-6 guys where two are my seniors and even if i ask they just laughs at me and says tu ab tak ban nahi hua.:( I dont know why i have become an object of joke for them there.Whenever they gets a chance they make fun of me.i dont know is it a crime of being a member of any forum. They are all FB fans and dont hang around in forums much.
They follow two patters
1.They harass anyone with whom i have close contact in this forum.
2.They select random guys.
The best thing is you get a PM from an unknown member just delete.Its no use arguing with these trolls.
 
chiragsthakur : Chill mate. Please dont take the comments of a bunch of fools personally. They are nut jobs. If they have any balls in them they would come out in the open and say what they want.

As quan chi said, The best way to stop this is to ignore them cause we cannot keep banning ips because of a few incompetent douche bags.

To All: My sincere Request please ignore these kind of weird mails and continue browsing the forum normally.
 
I am now seriously pi**ed after what chirag showed me of what was written about me in the PM.. If i get hold of him, one thing i am sure, he won't be spared..
 
^^As told earlier I think their main motto was to humiliate or rather make fun of me and they succeeded.:( Its obvious by pissing many members it will force the mods to do a through search and guess whose name will come? Thats why i request everyone to ignore them.There will be no reaction if there is no action.Its best to delete this thread and keep on deleting and banning anyone who does this.I enjoyed their jokes when they used to post openly but harassing through pm is an act of cowardice.

On a serious note Ignore em they are just sending PMs which can be deleted easily. Do not feed the Trolls *munch* *munch*
 
Wow fantastic! So your bunch of lunatic peers find this place for all their TP activity!

We have already banned that IP but there’s little to no surety that they wouldn’t use a proxy to register the ID and send PMs. At least the posts are moderated as of now and I suppose we will now have to impose a restriction on sending PMs as long as the first set of posts aren’t approved.

Not only this place unfortunately they did this in many places including TDF ,Toms Hardware & another forum.There the scenario was worst they directly used profanity against members through pms.:( Thats why i am least active on those forums.The pattern was same target a mod who is most active and piss him off.Unfortunately this is very common outside.For many people forum is like a playground.:(

Like i said its better to ignore them.The more you respond to them the more they enjoy.

None of the mods have the same IP as yours or your office. Also none of the mods on TE is vain.

Agreed it does not help other genuine members. But then TE is not a marketplace primarily and more of a tech forum. Lets see if i can think of something else.

Sorry but i dont like and have any account in FB.I am active in forums only.That was another reason for this mess.But like i said its a group therefore i know some one is doing it but i dont know who is doing it.Since the matter has gone too far i will talk to them once again and try to find out more.If the messages continue i will pm you some of the names of my suspects then you can try to find them in FB.
 
Please do that before things go bad. You should have informed us about this much before. You chose to remain silent instead before it became a mess here! Heck, you also responded to one of those posts on the gaming threads.

Some could be scammers....restricting market access before x posts and PM access before x posts is a good idea....

And after making 5-10 posts they will transform into genuine members? If you notice the list of scamming members then almost all of them have over 100 posts.
 
^There's a difference b/w Effortless fraud and fraud done after some effort. Why to let them to go so easily? Many don't go ahead after they see some kind of restriction, doesn't matter even if its miniscule.
