Forum Feedback Getting spam messages from unknown members?

I'm getting it too. Don't know why this guy has such a hard-on for Gannu, but it's obvious, he ain't stopping. He creates multiple aliases all the time. I can't post those messages out here as they take a rather obscene route.

Isn't there a way to kick this knucklehead out for good?
 
Can we (or do we ??) have an inability to send PM until someone reaches 10 Posts or something ?
But in that case if a new member wants to contact a Mod then he cannot PM the mod, for that we can have a separate CONTACT US page if not already there.
 
OMG he has started PM'ing a whole lot of other guys as well? :( I seriously have no idea why this prick is behind me! Sincere apologies from my end for all the troubles that he has caused/may cause you. Anyways, the admins. and other mods. have taken note of this since a while and may come up with something shortly. Please bear with us until then.

Last month i received a PM from a member called "Jabaaz"

Here is what the PM said and i couldn't stop laughing,did bring this to Gannu's attention
Subject : Gannu Sent me
Body : hi gannu told me you are mahesh bhatts nephew and sells cond**s for a cheaper rate.Thats why this pm. er i need 5 packets of moods.Is there any discount?

Anyway, on a serious note, if he is spamming people though PM's, it is just abuse of PM system which is not tolerated on any forums. Why don't the mods just ban him and be done. Whats there to think about?

We have banned like a dozen IDs of his before and we lost count eventually. Fortunately, since the first few posts are being moderated, the posts aren't visible and thus he has resorted to messaging. We may have to keep a restriction on that as well for new members. Let us see what the admins come up with.

Heh, funny how I was narrating the incident of Amanda Todd to some of my friends last week and what has ensued later. :P
