Have you seen cases of fraud done by members with less than 10 posts? I believe the buyers and sellers are themselves cautious of new members. And making 10 posts is hardly any effort that can deter a fraudster. There is no point in having a restriction just for the sake of it.
 
We all should just ignore these clowns. And if problem persists, just give us the names. We'll take care of their FB profiles.
Just out of curiosity, how old are these guys?
 
They continue to spam registering IDs via a proxy! Hell, these guys seem to have a lot of free time.
 
What about the e-mail ids used for registration?
Disposable or standard G/Yahoo/Rediff/whatever Mail?
 
i think quan chi should just stop visiting TE and other sites for some time (like a month or so) where his moronic colleagues try to tarnish his reputation. better would be to just stop browsing sites from office and do it from home. it would be hard but, if they see you not visiting these sites and concentrating on work, they will ultimately stop too. probably their main target is to trouble you.
 
Hilarious thread...gave me some good laughs. Side effect might be that mods would be careful before taking 'holier than thou' attitude, and continue to keep up with the expectations. No harm in people criticizing how mods behave, provided it is done sensibly and supported by facts.

Well yes, he went about posting all those non-sense erotica content on the gaming threads and perhaps that was his 10th ID or so which was banned.

He just wanted to confirm your workplace location and name. They had narrowed the IP down to your place. I told him that you wouldn't possibly be involved in this act, as I recall you never brought this up in any of our gaming sessions. Hence, once I got your confirmation, I asked Gannu to double check it and even invoked a possibility of someone else posting from that same place. However, since there was no one active on TE, who was related to the IP, but you. Hence, Renegade merely posted to confirm why these ID's were being linked to your workplace.

Now to the issue at hand. If I'm to understand you correctly, these colleagues of yours are trying to have some fun at the forum's expense? It was OK till a certain point. We all shared our laughs, believe me I still crack up at some of those lines. But, they crossed the line by getting way too abusive with all the members. The thing that bothers me is that if you already knew about it, why didn't you give anyone of us a heads up? It's not like we were going to put YOU on the pedestal or crucify you. Heck, you could have even told us during our online sessions. I'd like to think that we talk freely about these things. The reason why I'm saying this is because, like you said, some of these people are senior to you and just trying to humiliate you. We would have understood all this, if you had just come forward on your own. Why wait till this topic was even brought up?

Anyway, I hope you get where I'm coming from now. It's not like we were trying to accuse you of committing this act, but just wanted to clarify what was causing all this chaos. I didn't realize the gravity of the situation till Gannu called me up. Also, just for the sake of curiosity, was the person who asked me about the PSN being linked to Steamworks in the 007 Legends thread, was it one of your colleagues? If so, then do have have sufficient gaming knowledge?

I got it and replied as well. I'll talk to Gannu when I get the chance and hopefully get this sorted out.
 
Good riddance! Instead of wasting time on narrowing down the main culprit.I had a long discussion with the system administrator,told him everything.Now all the proxy sites are blocked in our office including those sites/forums too which discusses anything related to games & movies.

^ Great move! Just leave those buggers re. If you get bullied, they will not stop. Stop reacting, they won't have a reason to bully you.
